Chapter 1: The Truth

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Okay Alyssa, are you done yet? You've been screaming for the past two minutes!"

That was Alex. Always telling me what to do. But this time there was no stopping my screaming. Reason to scream? Oh, no biggie. Just that Alex decides to tell me now that no other than Louis Tomlinson is her cousin. And it's not like the whole band is coming to meet Alex's family, in TWO DAYS! Cue the screaming.

"AHHHHHHH-" I was cut short when Alex put her hand over my mouth.

" You have to stop screaming! You're going to get the police here by noon!"

"Well sorry if my best friend decides to tell me now, out of all the years that I have love One Direction, that freaking LOUIS TOMLINSON is your cousin. Really, why is this the first I'm hearing of this?"

"First of, he's my second cousin, my mom's first. Second off, I just didn't think it was that big of a deal. It's already bad enough hearing you go on and on about my cousin and his freakish band mates, but to have also grown up with him? That'a a different story. Nobody knows him like I do."

Who was she to say that it was not a big deal?

"Whatever Alex, I don't feel like fighting. I gotta go but see you at school tomorrow."

"Bye."

I really could not believe she wouldn't tell me this. I mean, she knows I've had this love for One Direction ever since they were on the X-Factor, not to mention that was my favorite TV Show since they were on it.

But also that she would keep this big a secret from me. I wonder if anyone else knew? Maybe she old Julie, the girl in our class who is always trying to become best friends with Alex. I just don't understand that girl sometimes.

Alex's POV

Argh. I cannot believe Alyssa. I mean, it's not even that big of a deal, right? it's just a stupid boy band and one of the members just happened to be my cousin. And maybe my best friend just happens to love them. And dreams of marrying Louis one day. Who is my cousin. Who is in a famous boy band- okay, I've got to stop ranting on.

She will get over it. But then again, when I think about it, it would have been better if I told her sooner when Louis first went on the X-Factor and Alyssa started loving him.

I'm getting a headache from all this thinking.

That's why I don't do too well in school. Which is why I should stay home more often. And again I'm ranting. I just hope Alyssa and I make up before the boys come.
