CALEBS POV:
I took my usual seat in art, prepping my art bag on the leg of the desk, and collecting my brushes. I looked up taking in the new faces of the St Michael's kids.
I didn't really have much against them - at least not as much as Celia, in fact, and I would never tell her this, but St Michael's would've been my first choice of schools if my dad hadn't wanted me to follow his footsteps by taking the same school as he did when he was younger.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like I appreciate their attitude, but they're a lot smarter than us.
I see that guy from assembly, the head boy, and I take in his profile. Okay, maybe I don't like him.
I notice Bear sitting beside him - Lisa would be ecstatic, Celia, too, probably. I mean she wouldn't shut up about him.
I frown and start sketching my vase of flowers placed in the center of the room.
Eventually my sketch starts coming along to something I'm actually quite proud of, and I smile at it.
Curiously, I lift my head, stretching my neck, and peer at everybody else's art quickly.
Normal, bad, pretty nice, and then I'm infuriated.
Of course Bear would draw better than anybody else. The more I looked the more I appreciated it, more artistically than personally.
