IMAGINE:

Your school has organized the play fest. You are chosen to play the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Your Best guy friend is chosen to play Romeo.

Practice Sessions:

Scene 1:

Juliet: Oh Romeo.....

Romeo: Oh Juliet........

Juliet ke paa: Eh.....jaldi karo ne.....

You glare at Paa and then stare back timidly at Romeo, showcasing full on drama.

Suddenly, with a large scream someone swings on a rope and falls face-down between you and Romeo. He springs back up and pounces on you....

Mowgli : Oye Romeo peeche hat jaa....

Paa: Je aayo sher ko bachhdo......

Mowgli : Julia chal mere saath!

You: No...

Mowgli: Dekh, me tujhe Baloo se kele bhi dilwa doonga....tu bas chal!

You (showing your inner sherni) : GRRRR. . . . . . . .

Mowgli : I like it....

You : Yeesh.....

Romeo grabs Mowgli and pulls him away from you.

You look at both of them : GRRRR. . . . . . .

Paa: Kahan se ye item peda ki h?

Maa: Rangeela, teri to nhi h......

You : Eh mai, baapu ko kuchh nhi bolne ka ! Ja baapu jeele apni zindagi!

 Then, you hear a voice screaming from behind you. You look back and see Ranjha running towards you.

Ranjha: HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 

Mowgli : Kheer??

Romeo : E bhukkad....kheer nhi heer!

Ranjha comes and wraps his arms around you. 

Ranjha: Tujhe to me leke jaa raha hun meri heeriye!

Director: Oye gadhede! Wrong play....audi-3 me jaake mar!

Ranjha: Oh. . . . . .sorry!

( The song 'Welcome' starts playing in the background. )

Majnu: Saalon kutton jagah do. . . .majnu aaela h !!

Romeo: Director sahab . . . . bas hogaya! Ab yahan se me katela h!!

Majnu kheech ke chaanta lagata hai. 

Majnu: Chaanni saala.....meri laila se mere alawa koi nhi liptega!

Director: Bas !! Ho gaya! Ab bas! Aur nhi seh sakta mai!

Someone from the audience: Arre basanti! Naach ke to dikha!!

Romeo: Chup!! Tere baap ka maal h kya??

Paa: Oye! Baap idhar hai!Idhar baat kar idhar!!

Director (fainting): I QUIT!!

Desi Kalaakar:  Tu meri heer, maine dil se maana tujhe

                               Har veervar Peer baba se bhi manga tujhe

                               Yaar tera superstar, desi kalakaar!

Romeo: I. . . . just don't even wanna know!

Ranjha: Teri heer? Heer meri thi! Teri kabse ho gayi be?

Majnu: Dekho tum sab apni apni heer ko kahin aur dhundo. . . . . .ye to apun ki laila ich hai!

Romeo: Arre. . . . .mera kya hoga?

Mowgli: Dekho. . . . .  .jisne pehle pakda, uski!

They all start running towards you. Majnu grabs Mowgli's hair and starts spinning him. Romeo takes out his sword and starts chasing Desi Kalaakar. Paa jumps on Ranjha and starts playing Ghoda-Ghoda.

You (dramatically) : Boys. . . . . STOP IT! 

They all stop whatever they were doing and look towards you.

You: I  have a boyfriend. . . . . . 

All the boys: Saala, pehle batane ka tha na! Bekar me itni mathapachi ki!!  

Paa: Kya boli re tu?

Majnu: Chalo bhailog! Agle studio me Cinderella bethi hai!

*Curtain falls. . . . . . . . . . . . . . along with the danda*

Mowgli: Ooops!
