DAVE'S POV:
I was walking to Isabelle's room after talking to Nathan. Gonzales was already here, in the Palace. He arrived four days ago. He was probably in his room now, the schmuck!
I was about to knock when I heard a male voice. Without thinking, I kicked the door open and saw Gonzales standing in front of Isabelle, who was sitted on her bed.
Without warning, I pushed Gonzales from the behind, thinking that he was raping her or something. He fell to the floor, and I saw that Isabelle was just drinking from a straw.
"What the-? Whuh? Whut?" I stuttered, pointing at Isabelle and looking at Gonzales at the same time. "HUH?"
"Have you ever heard of knocking, Dave?!" Isabelle snapped, standing up.
"Oh." I extended my hand towards Gonzales to help him up. "Sorry 'bout that," I mumbled to the prince.
"What were you thinking?" he asked.
I scratched the back of my head. "Oh, I just thought y'know....something was..going on."
Isabelle understood what I meant, and she punched my arm. "You perv," she shook her head.
"I am not," I scoffed. I turned my attention to Gonzales. "What are you doing in the princess' room?"
"Shouldn't you call me Prince Gonzales?" he replied.
I got angry at this royal pain in the butt. "Over my dead body," I snapped. "Again, I will ask you. What are you doing here?"
"I was talking to Isabelle about the ball this Sunday," he said.
"What about it?"
"Well, I was told that there were other countries coming as well, and I was curious to know."
"Cat."
"WHAT?" Gonzales shrieked.
I was surprised. I smirked, "Are you scared of cats?"
"N-n-n-no," he scoffed. "Why should I be?"
"Well," I grinned, "you yelled when I said CAT!"
"YAAAH!!!" Gonzales jumped up onto his feet. He was wary. "You have a cat here?"
I nodded, enjoying torturing Gonzales this way. "Stripes," I called.
Isabelle's tiger walked into the room and stood beside me. When Gonzales saw Stripes, he shrieked again and jumped onto a chair for dear life.
"If there's one thing that I know about people scared of cats," I said, "is that they are even more afraid of big cats."
"Get that out of here!" Gonzales nearly screamed.
"No," I shook my head. "Stay here, Stripes. It's nice seeing you."
Stripes growled at Gonzales, before sitting on its hind legs. Isabelle shook her head, no doubt enjoying the show.
"Get down Gonzales," she said to the frightened prince. "Come on, Stripes isn't going to hurt you."
As though Stripes did not agree, it snarled again. Gonzales was jumping out of his skin!
"Calm down Stripes," Isabelle said to her tiger. Immediately Stripes calmed down. Nice. "Get down," she said to Gonzales.
Gonzales hesitated as he got off the chair, seating as far as he could away from Stripes. "Let us continue talking," he said, trying to reclaim his composure although I could see he was tensed at having Stripes nearby. That's what I wanted.
