A screech was heard as her driver dropped her off at the end of the street instead of her house, where she might meet her blonde friend. As she stepped down the car, she realized that her house was almost half empty, with her taking almost half of all her belongings to the Sebastian Mansion, as she called it. She stopped in her tracks and panicked, pondering on how to explain everything to Lucy.
"I could say that I dry-cleaned some stuff and let the laundry woman wash my clothes......yeah, that! And I sold some stuff too!" She said to herself, hugging herself as the cold breeze met her face.
She walked straight, heading to her house. If Lucy said she was around ten blocks away from her house, Juvia wouldn't have to walk all the way. But as she arrived at the place Lucy said she was standing on, she wasn't there anymore.
Juvia's eyes widened as she cursed mentally. She frantically looked around, looking for her blonde best friend that should be there, but wasn't.
She shut her eyes tightly and pulled her hair in frustration. Is she gone? Did she come home? She asked herself. Or did something else happen?
She immediately ran to her house, which had no lights on, hands trembling while she picked the right key to put in the gate's keyhole. By the time she inserted it, she realized it was open. Horror was noticeable on her face as she dashed inside, looking for any trace of Lucy. She quickly turned on the lights and went to every room in the house, only saying one thing: "Lucy!"
Various door swung open as she tried to find even a trace of her blonde friend. Nope. Not even a hint of where Lucy is. She tried calling the blonde again, but only the operator talked back to her.
In her mind, many things could possibly go wrong. She might've been caught by the people her father had recruited to find her. She might've been captured by Raven Tail. She might've been kidnapped. Heck, she might've been raped!
But on the bright side, she might've returned to her apartment. Or slept in with the other girls. Yeah. She could breathe with that. But there was no confirmation Lucy was safe.
"Lucy! Lucy!" It was getting hopeless for the woman. She decided to ring the others.
"Huh? I think I haven't seen her since this afternoon." Replied Erza.
"She's not here with me. I remember, the last time I saw her was with you, at the clubroom." Answered Mira.
"I don't know, to be honest. Have you called their landlady?" Asked Levy. Juvia answered yes. The lady wasn't answering, much to Juvia's disappointment.
Oh my God. Juvia thought. If anything bad ever happens to Lucy, I'm sure as fuck it's my fault.
She looked back at her former place. Now that she thought deeply about it, living with Gray didn't really make any sense. And why was Gray looking after her, anyway? He was one of the hottest boys on campus. Maybe he's a trained agent and his duty in life is to look after me. Juvia laughed at that thought. Hahahaha. Good one, Juvia.
