Chapter 4

So today was the party and I'm kind of nervous because what if something happens or what if my dad or Jackie catches me.

I will be in the biggest trouble ever, they'll ground me, take my phone from me and force me to do chores that I don't want to do.

I was about to get up out of bed when my phone went off, it's jade obviously.

But when I checked who it was, it wasn't jade it was from an unknown number.

Unknown number:
Hey sweet cheeks I guess I'll be seeing you tonight then X

Who could that be?

I hope jade hasn't randomly give my number out.

To unknown number:
I'm sorry I think you've texted the wrong number.

I'm so confused, the only person that has this number is jade, Shan, Jackie and my father. Shans an old friend back from San Luis obispo, she wasn't my best friend but I met her just after everything happened.

My phone went off again.

From unknown number:
Oh sweat cheeks you'll find out tonight X

That's going to bug me all day, I need to find jade or at least ring her to find out who she's handed my number too.

I climbed out of bed and went over to my closet to find something nice to wear for tonight and just something to wear for today.

It's not like I'm doing much today before the party so I might as well go for a jog before I shower.

I decided to just throw my black adidas gym leggings, white t-shirt, green bomber jacket and my Nike running trainers.

Just before leaving the house I threw my hair up in a messy pony tail, grabbed my phone, headphones and a bottle of water so I don't have to buy any whilst I'm out.

I said goodbye to my father considering he's the only one in this morning then slowly jogged down the street.

I was jogging for a good 45 minutes when my ankle gave way making me stumble over on someone's lorn.

"Fuck" I tried to get up but couldn't "let me help" someone said from behind me then I heard a door shut.

When I looked up and seen who it was I instantly looked back down at my ankle to distracted myself.

"Here let me help you up" he rapped his arms around my chest with his arms under my armpits, I felt kind of awkward because I'm most probably sweating.

He helped me up and pulled me over to his door step "thanks" I said as he set me down.

He nodded then passed me my bottle of water and phone "thank god you didn't break it ahh" I giggled and took my phone from him, examining the screen.

"I'm sorry if my armpits were a bit sweaty" I apologise whilst looking down at my feet.

"Ahh no worries, everyone gets sweaty when they run its natural" I looked up at him surprised and a massive smile took over his face.

I mirrored him with a massive smile as well but then realised I should be getting back to shower.

"I would love to stay and chat but I've got to head back but thanks" I tried to get up but fell back down again in pain.

"Let me walk you home" he grabbed hold of my upper arm and led me down the street.

It's weird that he lives literally around the corner from my house, like literally right behind my house what if he can see me in my room.

"Ahh I was going to ask if you wanted to come to this party tonight but you can barely walk so I'll ask for another time" he asked just as we arrived at my door.

"Yeah I don't think I'll be doing anything tonight, probably just sleep and rest my foot but thanks anyway see you soon" we both said our goodbyes then I went inside and collapse on the couch.

Luckily my father was out because he would of kept asking questions about Ethan and I'm not up for that.

I looked at the time on my phone and realised it was 5.30 and jades picking me up at 9pm but I take forever to get ready especially now my foots hurt and I need to shower.

Before I got up I remember I needed to ring jade and ask about this unknown number.

When I went to press call on jades number my father decided to ring.

"Hey" I said nicely down the phone once I picked up "me and Jackie have gone out of town for the weekend so be safe, there's some money in your account no party's, not that you have any friends anyway but that boy from yesterday better not come over I will find out"

Just before I could reply he put the phone down, well that's polite but at least I don't have to climb out my window tonight.

Im a bit offended the fact he jumps to conclusions that I don't have any friends and I'm going to have a party like come on that was last year I've changed since then.

I rang jade anyway.

"Yhello" she said joyfully down the phone once she picked up after the 4th ring "first things first my father and his new girlfriend are out of town for the weekend so no sneaking out for me" I said making her scream slightly.

"Secondly who have you handed my number out too" the other end of the phone went silent for a few minutes until I heard her laughing.

"Erin are you for real do you really think I would hand your number out, I don't even hang with very many people why" she said obviously offended that I asked her that stupid question.

Deep down I new she wouldn't but at the same time I don't know her that well so how am I suppose to know.

"Just someone been texting me, I'll show you the texted later tonight" she huffed then we said our goodbyes and I slowly walked up the stairs putting my phone on charge and heading into the shower.
