*Dream*

"Aaron, thank you for going to this picnic with me." Aphmau said.

"Don't mention it. I...also wanted to ask you some questions. Cake?" I handed her a piece.

"Go on, ask." She took it.

"...Aphmau?"

"Yeah?" she replied with that beautiful smile.

"How is it like?" I asked her. "To be loved and noticed by your friends, I mean. I'm sorry if these are personal questions. You don't have to answer them."

Her expression changed. "Oh, Aaron. Don't you have friends?"

"I only have you." I replied sadly.

"No." she sniffled. She started to cry. "No. N-n-n-no. You h-h-have to have s-some friends, r-right?"

I hugged her. "It's fine to only have you. So, why do you cry?"

"Aaron, I'm g-g-going to S-Seltic S-S-Summer High." she sobbed.

She disappeared.  The once-meadow landscape had now turned...into my childhood home.

"Aphmau!" I shouted. I scanned the surroundings...

I woke up, with my phone ringing by the bedside. I picked it up, and it said: Aphmau. I answered. I always do.

"Aphmau." I greeted. I was not prepared for what happened next, because, she squealed, "AARON!"

"Aphmau," I chuckled. She was always like this when she was excited. "What's up?"

"Aaron, there's something I want to tell you," she said, her beautiful voice full of happiness.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I'm going to Seltic Summer High! Can you believe it?"

Silence.

"Actually, Aphmau," I said quietly, "Yes, I can. I hope you enjoy it there." I hung up. I put the phone on my lap. I regretted hanging up, the fear of hurting her feelings, but for the first time, emotions came over me.

No. It can't happen. Her leaving Phoenix Drop High... No. I searched the phone book Aphmau gifted me months ago, and called Garroth.

"Hey, Garroth." Only a bang replied. Then, "Hi, Aaron. What's going on? You never call."

I took a deep breath. Well, it's a first time for everything. "I need your help. It's Aphmau." I told him about Aphmau's new school.

*RING* . A text. 'Hey, Aaron. What's wrong? You've never hung up on me before. I'm going to your house to see what's going on.'

...

Well, I want her to be happy, I thought. I might as well get on with it. I put on my jacket and pants, and went downstairs. I waited, but not for long, for Garroth was at the door, along with Aphmau.

"Aphmau, Garroth." I welcomed them, like always, but it was different. There was this coldness, the sadness, that I never really felt, having to have no shirt and friends, besides Aphmau, for a very long time.

Aphmau held my hand. "Aaron, what's wrong? You're never like this."

...

"Aaron?" Aphmau whispered to me. I didn't respond. I can't.

"Aaron." She repeated. " Aaron. Aaron. Talk to me. What happened to you?" She was shaking me this time. A tear fell to my cheek. Sometimes, she surprises me, more than I expect. "Aaron," She hugged me.

After a while, I managed to croak, "Shu, please leave." But she was still confused, I could tell. "Aaron-" she started to say, but I cut her off. "Leave." I repeated, with much more force. She stood up and left.

...

"Aaron?" Garroth worried. "Fine." I said. "I just can't stand Aphmau..." he faltered.

"Leaving." I finished.

"I know. It just, I can't believe she would even dare, to leave after you being her..." He gritted his teeth. "Girlfriend."

I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing. That's what I usually do, and no people seem to question it.

"So," he stated in a determined voice I only heard when he was trying to get Aphmau away from me. "What's the plan?"
