Chapter 3- Confession?!

The picture above is taken from the manga, credits goes to the mangaka. I'm thinking about putting the character info sheet of each knight on each chapter. Kaede is next!

Kaede suddenly pulls me away, to the back of the school where we could be alone. Pinning me to the wall, he leans in, inches away from my face.

"Anise.... I-"

He was cut off as the bell ringing, indicating the start of the new school day.

Kaede pulls away with a disappointed look on his face.

As we run to join the other students, my face still red, I wondered what Kaede's unfinished sentence was, which made me blush even harder.

"Are you feeling okay, Lady Anise?" Seiran-kun pops out behind me, "Do you have a fever? Your face is so red."

"Uh... Yeah. Probably because we ran all the way here from my house..." I said, hiding my face from Seiran-kun.

I sneak a look at Kaede. He had a slight blush and avoided eye contact with me.

~Kaede's POV~

I can't believe I just did that! I just couldn't hold it back anymore...

At the corner of my eyes, I saw Anise glance at me, I blush slightly, trying not to make eye contact.

It would be very awkward if we did, since I just did that...

~Anise's POV~

Throughout the day, concentrating on the lessons were really hard. What was Kaede about to say? Was he going to confess? Lost in my thoughts, I didn't hear the teacher calling on me.

"Yamamoto!"

I jerk up.

"Y-Yes?"

"Please read the next paragraph."

I look down at my textbook.

Where are we at?

I know I should've payed attention, but it's so hard to concentrate today.

"Uh... Um..." I studder.

"Pay attention next time, Miss Yamamoto!"

"Yes, ma'am." I say shamefully.

"Good. Now please sit down." Sensei instructed as she called on another student.

Embarrassed, I sat down, stealing a glance in Kaede's direction. Our eyes locked for a second, before I turn away.

Did I see concern in his eyes? Naw... Him? Concerned about me? I can't even start to imagine!

~Kaede's POV~

I wonder if Anise's feeling okay today. She usually pays attention in class.

Was it because what happened this morning? Was it because of me?

I knew I should've waited 'till after school to confess, but I just couldn't resist it.

Maybe I should talk to her after school today. Or should I wait a couple days? ....

No. I would burst by then. I'm confessing this afternoon!
