Chapter 6

ANDY POV

I didn't realize just how exhausted I was. Apparently I slept through the night. And at some point Ashley must have went to my house and grabbed of things. Clothes, bathroom stuff, all of Aura's needs, including the bedside crib we use sometimes. Because when I woke up I saw the suitcases and the crib by the bed. Thats when I realized Aura wasn't in bed with me. She was soundly asleep in her crib. I looked at my phone on the nightstand to see what time it was and saw the baby monitors. I smiled Ashy is so thoughtful.

I grabbed one of the monitors and went downstairs since now it was 9:45am. As I made my way into the kitchen I could hear Ashley moving around and cooking odors. The floor cracked under my feet.

Ashley looked up smiled at me, "morning sunshine."

I smiled back. Morning Ashy. Thanks for getting mine and Aura's stuff. I must have been exhausted I never even heard you come in and take her.

"No problem Andy. There's coffee if you want some. Also I found the last few bottles of Juliet's breast milk in y'all kitchen freezer. They are in my freezer I know that Aura will need it."said Ashley.

I smiled and shed a tear at Juliet's name then got up to get a cup of coffee. I sat back down just as Ashley put a plate of food in front of me. I started to eat. Ashley is a good cook. Then I heard Aura start to cry. I went to get up Ashley put a hand on my shoulder.

"You eat. I'll go get her."said Ashley. Then he went up stairs.

A couple of minutes later Ashley walked into the room cooing Aura. "She was wet but I changed her."

I'll fix her a bottle.

"No I've got it."said Ashley.

I watched as he moved around the room getting the milk out of the freezer, putting it in the microwave and heating it up, then putting it in a new bottle. He did all this while holding Aura.

I watched as Aura smiled as Ashley cooed her. Then he sat next to me and put the bottle in her mouth. I was very impressed with all this that Ashley was doing. And the fact that Aura wasn't being fussy for once. I think Aura really likes her Uncle Ashley.

I finished breakfast. Ashley finished feeding Aura and burped her. I took her and told him to eat and sat in the living room.

After a few minutes Ashley came into the living room and sat down by me. He smiled at Aura she smiled back and reached for him. He took her. Be careful of her leg Ashy.

"I know Andy. I've got this. Hey Aura you're a beautiful little girl, yes you are."said Ashley.

I watched as Aura laughed at what Ashy was doing. It was nice seeing Aura smile and laugh especially with her broken leg. She will have to have that cast on for six weeks.
