I got up real early since I was the ride for Amara and Cleo, They ain't getting they cars anytime soon. I got dressed,

the best today , since I think Kamar is going to be asking me to the senior military ball as the rest of the school had theirs a few weeks back. We seniors wanted a secluded time for just us. Fingers crossed it would be today.
I went downstairs to greet my stepmother, who I prefer to call my mother, "morning mama" I spoke
"Morning, I'm working tonight so make sure you pick your sister up and drop her at Aunty Leanne's" I nodded. I grabbed toast and my keys, " Leaving so soon"
"I've got to pick up Amara and Cleo" she nodded her head . I hopped in my car and put the keys in the ignition .

When I got to Amara's House she's just standing leaning agents her mail box tutting and tapping her non existent watch, "Bitch, Be grateful I'm actually here" I finally spoke breaking the silence, she shook her head as I focused back on the road heading for Cleo's Apartment.

I parked my car in the student parking lot and we were just about to leave before Amara called us all back, " Y'all know my brother Aj, who moved to Atlanta to stay with my dad right," she began
I shook my head no.
"Of course yes, who wouldn't remember his fine ass" Cleo spoke
"Well he is moving back next week, he tired of all my dads Bullshit, so be prepared and Cleo don't say that shit around me" She continued, Cleo shrugged as we all left to got our lockers. I only came to this school about a year ago, and I met Cleo and Amara considering their lockers are right next to mine. I looked up to see Kamar leaning against my locker on his phone I cleared my throat to get his attention, "Aye, My bad Ma" he pecked me on the cheek "Morning Baby, you gonna walk me to first period"
"Nah, ima be late" he said jokingly
"Nigga, as if you give a shit" I said slapping his arm jokingly. Amara and Cleo had left to go to their first Period since class was the same,  We walked through the hallways in silence. "Watchu doing tonight Ma" he said breaking the silence "I've got work at 5-9, after I'm not doing anything" I replied. He rubbed his chin before nodding his head "aiit, ima see you around" he said before I walked into class I could feel his eyes on my ass as I walked into class, but I shook it off.

Lunch time I was sitting with Cleo, Jaquees , Amara and Kamar.
"So Jamila, Yor birthday coming soon, what we Finna do to turn up!!" Amara mini twerking in her seat, I saw Jaquees stating at her Licking his lips.
"I'm thinking girls night out" I began
"Nah that's whack, what about me , Travis and Jaquees, you Finna just leave us out" Kamar stated
"One, you didn't let me finish, two , I was thinking girls night out then have a squad night in the club turning up then have a higher sleepover all of us girls, boys everybody together Maybe, Ion know though, what do you think?" I continued
"Well I think you should stay with daddy the whole day" Kamar said
I mugged him in the corner of my eye.
DeNique started walking towards our table probably looking for some shit to start. "Kamar, Jaquees" she said batting her eyelashes. "My cousin Lolo who I'm sure you know, is throwing her 18 birthday party, she wants y'all to be there?" She continued
"Bicth Bye, you ain't got no respect. You know damn well me Amara and Cleo sitting here yet you decide to be a ho go straight for our men, that some straight up Slut shit, No hello , How you doing? I can tell you now he ain't going to Hoho's lil slut party it's the same day as mine and we got plans so I can tell you now Kamar, Jaquees of Travis will not be attending" I spoke harshly, like you cross me out like I'm not there that some straight up petty shit.
"First of all don't address me like that and Kamar and Jaquees have mouth to speak for themselves so let them use it" she said looking at me up and down
"Sorry tell Lolo I can't come " Jaquees said
"Tell Lolo I can't make it I had plans, and wish her a happy birthday for me" Kamar spoke.
" Satisfied" Cleo said finally speaking up. She rolled her eyes as she swayed her non existent ass side to side.
"Chill Ma, Nique ain't got nothing on you" He said sighing "You ain't gotta be jealous of her" I tilted my head slightly confused "I'm not jealous, like you said she ain't shit compared to me, I'm not tripping" he nodded
