Thursday morning dawned clear and warm. Viktor awoke with excitement pitter-pattering in his stomach. Sunlight was spilling in through his window, which looked out on the Courtyard of the castle. He dressed, and headed down to breakfast.

The hall was abuzz with excitement, looking forward to finishing class and getting out in the sunshine, as it was probably one of the last nice days before autumn swooped in on the grounds of the castle. Viktor slid into his regular seat at the table and pulled a plate of breakfast in front of him. He looked down the Gryffindor table, in search of Hermione, but was surprised to see that she was nowhere to be seen. Had she eaten already? Or not been down at all?

He hadn't seen her since their late night walk, two nights ago, and was beginning to worry if she was still upset over the breakup. It didn't seem that way to him, but he wasn't sure.

Viktor noticed Weasley sitting with a girl he didn't know, with a wide smile and sandy hair. She playfully giggled and rubbed his arm. Harry Potter sat next to them, rolling his eyes at the girl.

When he finished his breakfast, McGonagall approached him.

"Good Morning, Coach Krum. I assume you're very excited for the flying lesson. Just wanted you to know the lesson will take place on the big lawn in front of the main courtyard. If you don't know where that is, simply stop a student and ask for directions. The Ravenclaws will be with you this morning." Viktor smiled in excitement, and reached over the table to shake the Headmistress' hand.

"Thank you very much, Professor." She gave his hand a motherly squeeze and headed on her way. Viktor got out of his seat, and made his way into the Entrance Hall.

Students were already coming and going through the Hall, some stopping to socialize, some rushing off to class. He raced up the marble stairs, and didn't stop running until he reached his office. Once inside, he grabbed his broomstick off of its holder on the wall, the handle gleaming in the sunlight. He decided it was best to get there early, scope out the space, and maybe get up into the air for a bit. His stomach leaped in anticipation.

He sealed his office, tucked his broomstick under his arm, and went on his way.

Hermione packed her textbooks into her bag. The room was already empty, as Hermione's free period landed first period every few days. She had taken the opportunity to get ahead in her classes. Boyfriend or not, she wasn't about to let her schoolwork fall behind because of it.

She checked her watch. It was nearly 9 o'clock. She brushed out her hair, and headed out of the dormitory, through the portrait hole, and into the corridor.

The hallways were almost bare, other than the occasional student heading off to the bathroom, or ghost gliding around. Hermione walked in a quick stride. She was used to being in a hurry to get somewhere. She was in the Great Hall in no time, where a handful of kids, who also had a free period, were eating a late breakfast. She ate alone, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Back in the hallway, Hermione set out for Charms, wanting to get there early, to avoid sitting next to Ron. She still loved him, and thought by giving him space he would eventually forgive her. She missed him.

On the fourth floor, she heard a noise coming from a broom cupboard. The noise was muffled, but it almost sounded like a person. Or two. She cracked a smile. Couples were always looking for places to hide out together.

The door started creeping open, and Hermione hid behind a suit of armor, nosily wanting to know who it was. She craned her neck, looking through the suit to see who was coming out. She instantly regretted her choice when she saw who it was.
