Chapter 8~ Forget me not

Deandrè's POV

Flashback ( December 20,2013)

Daniel,Zane and I had been planning a fundraiser for the local homeless people in our community for months now and we finally decided to just do it.

We already got some donations from our neighbours and school as well as class mates. All we needed to do now was come up with a plan for the money we had.

We sat in Zane's room,she was busy getting us some paper to write on when it happened.

The beginning of all awkwardness in our little group.

"Daniel your lips are so pink and plump,they seem almost feminine"

"I'll show you feminine",he smirked,then in an instant too soon for me to even register what was happening he kissed me.

At first I was frozen in place wondering what the hell was happening,then I just gave in and started kissing back with my arms awkwardly on my thighs. In my defense it was my first kiss,what's a girl in my situation to do?

Daniel was about to deepen the kiss(I could tell because of some cheesy romance book I read on wattpad) when an ear piercing scream distracted me and I quickly pulled away pushing Daniel's chest.

"What's wrong Zane?" Daniel was first to speak. I was still afraid of what my best friend's reaction would be even though she knew of my feelings towards him.

"I-I-I just saw the world's biggest cockroach in the bathroom,you know how much I'm afraid of those little bastards,it even had wings"

"Ok" Daniel said with his voice laced with amusement and something else..disappointment? Regret?,my breath wasn't that bad,right? I did a quick breath check and I was A-ok.

"I have to get going now,mom will start to worry" he glanced at me,I swallowed. "Deandrè can you follow me to the door please"

"S-sure"

When we reached the last step,Daniel quickly spun around which caught me by surprise and I jabbed him in the ribs.

"I'm so sorry"I apologised,blushing from embarrassment.

"I didn't know that I was crushing on a ninja" my face turned a darker shade of red at his words.

"I really enjoyed that Deandrè, it was good for a first kiss" I was his first kiss? That thought made me all bubbly on the inside for some reason.

"Me too" I bet at this point my grin would've put the Grinch's own to shame.

After I said goodbye to Daniel I quickly ran up to Zane's room.

"What just happened?" She asked me with her voice laced with an emotion that I couldn't decipher.

"Nothing" I replied shyly. It was nothing after all. Only my first kiss.

"That was not "nothing",I totally caught you two lip locked"

"Well,ok,it was something, it felt so romantic, his lips were so sof-"

"Get out!!!"

"What?"

"I'm sorry Deandrè,I'm just having a bad headache that's all and I need some time to myself right now"

I felt sorry for her,I truly did, Zane suffered the worse migraines. "Ok,I hope you feel better soon"

"Me too" with that she hugged me,real tight,but I didn't mind I was use to it.

"Bye,call you tomorrow k? Love ya" I blew her a kiss

"Love ya more" was her reply then I left without looking back. I heard another ear piercing scream. It was probably that darn cockroach again.

*Present time*

After my little episode with Sky yesterday I was really exhausted,I spent the rest of the time there practically begging her not to force me to tell Daniel about what happened that day.

I wanted to just forget it and never bring it back up again. Ever. Don't judge me,if you had any idea what happened you'd want to forget too.

It was time for my meeting with Daniel and I decided to go with a black off the shoulder crop top that said bow down bxtchez,black ripped jeans and my signature black stilettoes with light makeup,nothing too fancy. I chose to wear my black shoulder length hair in a messy bun,I liked it that way.

I called both Sky and Alice and told them about my meeting today so I would meet up with them later today.

I walked to the door of Big moma's and pushed the door open,a little too hard if I might add. After I pushed it,I hear a scream followed by an ow.

Oops...?

It's not my fault they were behind the door. "Sorry" I replied with unusual sincerity and happiness in my voice. I was happy for some unknown reason,I felt butterflies flapping around happily in my tummy.

The moment I spotted Daniel in the corner booth where I usually sit,the butterflies started doing back flips,until my eyes landed on the person that was seated on his right,it was as if all those butterflies shriveled up into a corner and died.

Zane. What was she doing here? It doesn't matter I thought as I strutted up to them and sat on Daniel's left.

"Heey" I flashed my Grammy winning smile.

A/N: Sorry that took so long,for the people that know(and the one's who don't) it's that time of the year when teens like myself have exams. I am not dead. I do plan on finishing this book.
