Chapter 11

Josh's P.O.V

Charli is only thirteen. I can't have her around. She is so nice and kind but she still a child. But I don't want her to go back to her house that horrible house she calls home. She barely was able to walk yesterday. She deserves better. It doesn't help the her ex-boyfriend is an idiot. I would so date her if she was older. Oh that sounds wrong. I noticed that she wasn't next to me in my bed she must be downstairs. I got up and changed then went downstairs. I got into the kitchen and there was tones of pancakes. "Charli went for a run she will be back in a half an hour," Simon said with a mouth full of pancake.

I looked at the clock. 7:00. She needs to get home soon so she's not late to school. I decided to eat the wonderful food she had made everyone. Soon enough the door opened. "Hey Charli in the kitchen!!" I shouted. She walked into the kitchen all sweaty. "I'm going to go take a shower then get ready then we can go and I promise I will be quick," she said as she walked out of the kitchen.

Skip to when she is done*****

She wore what she had on before she went for a run at least that's what Simon said. Everything was the same. She was probably the quickest girl to ever get ready. It was now 7:45. We were heading to the school. We took Jj's lamborgini just to show off. When we got there no one was there because we were 25 minutes early. She got out of the car and walked in. I knew what I was about to do was really bad.

I went to the police station. I told Simon to meet me there but he didn't know what I had in mind. I saw his car so I parked beside it. We both got out of our cars and walked towards each other. "Hey why did you want to meet here?" Simon asked. "Charli gets abused at home and I want to tell the police but I don't want her to go to an orphanage so I thought maybe you could adopt her," I said looking at my feet. "I would love to but do you think they will let us?" He questioned. "I really don't know but I think we can," I said looking up. I can't believe he agreed. We walked into the station and saw a woman running the front desk.

"How may I help you too?" She asked sweetly. "I would like to press charges of child abuse," I said quickly. "Oh ok I will get you to see someone," she said surprised. We sat down waiting for her to call us to talk to police. "Umn the guy with a beard and a tall boy please follow me," an officer announced. I'm guessing that is us. We followed the guy to a room.

"So how old, gender and name of the person getting abused," the officer demanded. "Thirteen, female Charli Evans," I stated. "OK how bad and do you have proof," he said with a blank face. "I have pictures on my phone and yesterday I had to come get her from her house and she could barely walk," I said as I started to show the officer the photos. "But if you do get her parents I would like to adopt her if that's okay?" Simon spoke. "That's ok with me sir but you will have to sign some papers and by the look of these pictures they will be spending tons of time in jail," he said walking out of the room probably to get the papers. "We did it, she going to be safe once and for all" I cheered. The police came back in a mat of seconds with what's look like a ton of papers.

He sat down and explained what we had to do and what we had to sign. Simon signed most of them but I had to sign the charge papers. We got that done in an hour. He said he already had people on the way to arrest the parents. I couldn't wait until Charli would finally be in our home forever. She has gone through way to much. The officer told us that they got them and they will have a court day. It was now 8:25. We had adopted a kid and we arrested someone. Wow what a productive hour. We were finally leaving the police station when Simon spoke. "We didn't tell the others." I think they will be fine but I don't know. "I know but I think they will be fine," I said brushing it off. "We should by stuff for Charli's room," he said some what excited.

Skip trip until at the mall***

Me and Simon parked next to each other in the parking lot. We went into the mall and immediately went to the gaming store. I know she's a girl but they still like video games hopefully. We bought her four different consoles, a Xbox 360 connect, Playstation 3, Xbox one and a Playstation 4. We bought her at least 40 games. Then we went and bought stuff she actually needed. We bought her a king size bed and a bunch of pillows and blankets. We bought her a desk, a bookshelf also a dresser. We bought her loads of clothing and shoes. Me and Simon both agreed that we would paint her room what ever color she wanted. It was now 2:30. Wow never knew I would spend that long in a mall before. I gave everything to Simon because we wanted it to be a surprise.

Skip car journey****

I arrived at the school 15 minutes early. I had so many butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't wait. I sat there for what's seems to be forever until she got into the car. "Josh can you drive home like my home," she mumbled the last bit. "OK I will drive you to your actually home," I stated but really in side I was over joy.
