Chapter 8:The Last One Left (Bella POV)

Bella POV
"I don't know how long it will be until my cousins gone. Then I really will be the last surviving Kryptonion. It's lonely. Too be the last of your kind, the last one of billions of people you used to love. It's scary to think that you might be alone for the rest of your life. That's why I found myself addicted to helping humans and saving them from danger. It meant I didn't have to be alone in my world because I have people I need to protect." I just let my feelings go in front of the Cullens and I told them everything. Everything about Krypton, about my link to Superman, and how I'm scared of being alone.
"Bella Bella," Alice walked over to me hugging me tightly as Carlisle and Edward pulled away. The rest of the family sat there frozen at the flood of new information. "You aren't alone." Alice said. "We're here."
"You left. I'm sorry but I refuse to be a puppet of yours again." I was going to carry on and prove my point with what Edward said that day.
--FLASHBACK--
"What's so hard to get Bella?! I don't want you! I never wanted you! I was board! You were a pet! A pet that I'm now board of the novelty! You think I would fall for a stupid, pathetic, weak human! Pfft your HUMAN! In fact I HATE YOU!"
He left me standing there in the middle of the Forrest to wander and to rot away.

Alice silenced me before I could say anything.
"Edwards a good liar, Bella. He has to be. What he said that day, he didn't mean. He lied." I stood there in shock and disbelief. Edward made his way over and looked me in the eyes.
"What I said that day was excruciating to say. I left because i wanted you to have a happy, normal human life. Look how that turned out 'ey. We come back for you to find your a superhero! Wow..." ...did he just say what I think he said?...they came back for me...
"You lied? That's kinda painful..." I whispered to myself, Edward and his family had no hope of hearing.
"When we left, we went to live in Alaska. I never came out of my room and only you was on my mind. Esme refused to leave her room, only to hunt with Carlisle. Everyone hated me for what I said to you--"
"Some still do." Rose interrupted Edward. He breathed a sigh and went back to his story.
"The only thought I could hear from them was things like 'how could you do that to her, Edward' to be honest. I hated my self. After a while Alice stopped being able to see your future it all went black after she saw a vision of you crying in your room alone. Everyone wanted to check on you, make sure you were okay. I refused to go because I thought it would put you in more pain to see us. And here you are, stronger than us and somehow you've been though a hell of a lot more that all of us together." All the Cullens shouted that they agreed with Edward on the last part. "Bella, we're not leaving your side until you order us away." I smiled at the thought of them being here. It looks like the Cullens noticed and smiled as well. They clearly don't want to leave me again. I just hope this isn't a game for them.
"Bella," Esme started to ask me a question "the woman we met earlier. Alex. Who is she?"
"When Renee and Charlie took me in they already had a daughter and she was going through a rough time with Charlie and Renee's fighting. Alex was that daughter. When I was brought in she was so happy because she had someone to look after her, even though she's older than me. If Charlie would get mad at her I would use my heat vision to zap his feet as a kid. I'd do anything to protect Alex. She interests me. I thought humans could be just average, but I was wrong. After I spent time with her I realised humans are quite incredible themselves."
"What do you mean?" Carlisle was confused.
"You won't understand but I've seen it happen. Humans evolve so quickly! They don't know this yet but they could take over the whole universe with a snap of their fingers. Humans have so much potential! They just don't know where to put their intelligence. They use it on stupid things like laptops and computers and iPads for recreational use. They could make a rocket and sent it though a black hole and back. Humans are not just average, they're special. However the down side, they're hopeless at protecting themselves. They cower away in fear when they shouldn't. It's not really right but I can't interfere with their progress."
Carlisle's eyes lit up immediately but then went back to normal after the 'I can't interfere with their progress' thing. I can't interfere though, they have to do it themselves. Before I knew it Emmett's laugher roared out and filled the room.
"You zapped Charlie's feet because he was shouting at Alex?! AHHAHAHAHAHAHAH you are bad ass, Bells!" He managed to get out in between laughs. I glared at him and the entire family moved away. Emmett stayed completely still laughing his head off eyes closed. I took my glasses off and used my heat vision to zap Emmett's feet. See how he likes it. "OW!" The heat vision came out looking like lasers as they were a mix of white and red colour. They came from my eyes and hid my pupils and my irises. After it was over my eyes were back to normal.
"I thought you couldn't get hurt Emmett? Oh yeah! That doesn't work again aliens does it?" Emmett and I laughed together as the others stood there wondering what the hell they just saw. "Oh, that was my heat vision." I explained. Carlisle ran up to me and asked to see more of my talents.
"Please PLEASE Bella!" Alice begged to see them too along with the other Cullens.
"Fine but stay outta my way. Don't want you getting hurt." Alice squealed and ran outside. Behind my house was a huge Forrest. They all lined up outside with me in front of them.
"Flying first please." Carlisle asked.
"You must keep all this secret. Okay?" They all nodded.
And then, the show off began.
