"Hey cristina don't you know that the winter will be coming this season..it says that the hotter the summer the colder in winter while be cause the mountain hod to damage." Uncle said to me.
"Umm, uncle..." i saod then he asked......
( @ the gate)
"A scarf??" Gin said while holding on it.
"Yep, please use it in the winter, okay?" I said while smiling on him..then he just nod for an answer.
"Bye!" I said then walk off.
"Okay! " he replied
"See you next year!" I waved at him..and he wave me back.
(@school)
"Oyy summer, shouldn't you be heading to your next class soon?" A boy said to me...
"Ahh, your right! Everyone left already." I said
"I'll see you later" he said
"Okay thanks." While getting my books.
(Next day)
"Hey summer.....moved out there that way is frozen you'll slip if you continue to walk" the boy yesterday said to me then he offered his hand to help me.
"Thank you" while flasing a smile then we walk to our school while holding hands
"It's cold today, haven't you been a little out of it lately? Actually, you've always been that way,but..." the boy said to me
"It's because i want to see Gin. I want to touch Gin." I said to myself.....
"Is that your new uniform?" Gin said to me.
"Yeah" then without another word we start walking together.
"Time really flies, doesn't it? You're already in high school,huh." He asked
"Yup." I said shortly.
"You don't come running at me anymore these days." He asked
"I learned my lesson after all those beatings. Im looking forward to it. In three years, when i graduate, i plan on looking for a job here. Then i can be with you more. In autumm,winter,spring always, right?" I said and i met his gaze.
"Cristina, let me tell you about myself. Im not a spirit. But, im no longer a human. It seems like i was once a human, but when i was a baby, i was abandoned in this forest. I'd only just been abandoned, so i cried helplessly as if to call back the parents who left me. They say i didn't stop crying for a long time. I should've died then, but the mountain god appeared and cast a spell that allowed me to continue living. So that i never move on. I'm like a ghost.
Cristina. It's okay if you forget about me.
A body that's maintained by magic is very weak. If it touched a real human body, the spell will breal and the body will disappear. It's such a fragile thing. How long are you -" he said and i cut him off.
"Something that disappear when touched..Its just like a snow,isn't it?" Gin, i though of you during winter. Even in autumm and spring. Gin, don't forget about me. Don't forget." I said while smiling whith sadness in my eyes...
Time might separate us some day. But, even still, until then, let's stay together.
"Spirit festival?" I said
"NO, a summer festival held by spirits." He said
"There's not much of a difference." I murmured
"The nuance is completely different.!!!!" He said
"Nuance?"
"When you were little, i though you might get scared, so i didn't invite you. But tonight, can you sneak out of your house? I wanted to go with you for a long time." That made me happy and blush for the same time.....
"I-i want to go" i said with excitement.
"Meet me at 8 at our usual place." He said
"But festival filled with spirits sounds a little unnerving.. on the top of that, it's at night.
"Don't worry. On the outside, it's not very different from a h7man festival. It's supposed to mimic human festival, after all. And i'll protect you, cristina." He said while taking his mask off and smile at me. Then i averted my gaze on him
"When you say thing like that, it makes me want to glomp you." I said while smiling crazily.
"Do it. Seriously." He said
(Night passed)
The festival is very amazing cause when go in the festival you need to pass the temple and when you got in full of japanese lantern and things you found in a japanese festival. But most of the spirits wear mask......
We are walking in the stands to buy some food ...i was happy cause gin and i were wearing kimonos his kimono is grey while mine is pink.
"It's true. It's just like a human festival. Are they all disguised as human?" I asked
"That's right. I impressive isn't it? I've heard that sometimes even human unknowingly mix in." He said
"Fufu...like Iva and her friends, huh??" I said
"Who?" Gin asked but i ignore and walk
"Cristina tie this around your wrist. You'll get lost." He said while showing me a white tela and i just nod for an answer.
"Hahaha...it's just like going on a date!!" I said jokingly
"This is a date. Shall we go?" That made me blush at the same time happy and suprise....
"Yeah!!" I said cheerfully.
Then we walked again and stop at the river..after couple of minutes a bang sound i heard in the sky. When i looked up it is a fireworks..
"Cristina, i can no longer wait for summer to come around. When i'm away from you, even though i can'g be around crowd, i want to go see you." Then i was about to hold his hand and i forgot that i can't touch him.. then he get his mask on his face and put it in my face to kiss the cheek even though i wear a mask i can still feel his warmth and breathing. Then he stop and look at me smiling
"That mask...have it." He said
He probably won't come to that place next summer. I felt that this is our last .....
Then suddenly two childs running around at us then one of them fell down and thank goodness Gin catch him.
"Watch out." He said
"Are you okay??" He said
"Yeah. Thank you!!" The boy said and run off...
"Be careful, okay?" I waved
Then i look at Gin i was shock that his hand lighten up.
"GIN??DON'T TELL ME THAT BOY IS A HUMAN??" i asked. He was not saying something he just looked at me and he is also suprise.
"GIN!!!" I said while tearing up... then he spread his arms to me and said
"Come here, Cristina! I can finally touch you." Then i ran to him and take off the mask on my face then we hugged each other...he is so warm so smooth then after a couple of second he disappear like a bubble leaving only his kimono and mask and i was still hugging his kimono...then i burst into tears
"I LOVE YOU" a voice whisper to me.
"I LOVE YOU TOO." I replied
Deep green. This is the mountain god's forest.
"Cristina, thank you" black smoke said
"We wanted to be with Gin forever, but..." japanese umbrella said
"Gin wanted to touch a human." Tree hand said.
"He finally got to be hugged by a human." Fox said
I probably won't be able to look forward to summer for a long time.
My chest will hurt. My tears will be overflowing. But the warmth in my hands and these summer memories will live on my heart.
