~Bucky's POV~
Every day I hear Nat speaking. Every day it was a different story. Sometimes it was about us, or the Avengers, or Steve. I used to hear Steve's voice, but I haven't heard it in a long time. I miss it. He was my bestfriend. I didn't understand why he wouldn't come around anymore. The sounds were usually pretty drowned out. But today they were different. They were clearer. I knew I was waking up, but I didn't have much time. I heard Nat telling the doctor to pull the plug. It made me angry. And sad. How could the one I loved the most want me to die? It made me want to cry, as cliche as that sounds.
~Natasha's POV~
I talked to the doctor today. I told him it was time to pull the plug. It was Christmas time, and this was how I was going to spend my Christmas. Grieving.  Steve came in today, I suspected it was because he knew it was the last time he'd see Bucky. It was tearing him apart. He'd been crying, and I could see he hasn't slept in a long time. I would've asked him how he was, but I could tell he only wanted to see Bucky, so I stepped out of the room and let him see Bucky.
~Steve's POV~
I couldn't stand it. This wasn't Bucky's fault, and he shouldn't have to go through it. It wasn't fair. I sat down in the chair next to the bed and I later my head in my hands. "I can't lose you again, Buck. When I got you back, it was like a dream. And now it's turning into a nightmare all over again. Pal, you don't even look like yourself anymore. I've never seen you this thin. Quite frankly, you look like I used to. Before the serum. You always said you'd be with me til the end of the line, pal. This can't be the end. Not this way. It shouldn't be you." A few tears spilled down my cheeks. I looked up at him. "You were the best friend anyone could ever have, pal. Thank you." I stepped out of the room and Nat hugged me, then stepped back into the room.
~Bucky's POV~
I fought the darkness, but it wasn't working. Until I heard Steve's voice. Then, it became much easier. I heard him speaking and I knew I had to do it. I had to wake up. He was right. This wasn't the way. I couldn't leave Steve or Nat. Not this way. I heard Steve walk out, and I felt myself waking up. I heard Nat walk in, talking to the doctor. It was time. Before the doctor could speak again, my eyes drifted open. Not very much of course, but enough for Nat to notice. "You really p-pulling the plug on me, Nat?" I smiled barely. I saw the joyful years flood her face. She was so beautiful. More beautiful than I'd imagined when I was sleeping. She ran over and gave me a hug. I weakly returned it. "I missed you." She said softly. "I knew I couldn't leave you this way." "STEVE!" Nat yelled, which made me jump. Steve ran in the room and smiled and ran over. Also hugging me. "I heard you, talking to me. That's when I knew I had to wake up." Steve smiled. "I missed you pal." I smiled too. "Now, when do I get to leave this damn hospital?" Nat laughed. Man, I missed that laugh. "I could probably talk them into letting you leave today. Besides, I just want to go home and have a good day off." "That sounds nice. Steve could probably tag along too." I smiled at him. "Well actually Im supposed to be on a mission," he looked at his watch, "an hour ago. So I gotta go buddy. I'm glad you're awake." "Yeah, me too." I said quietly. We said our goodbyes and after about an hour of negotiations, I got to go home.

A/N: The next chapter will be more cute and happy, about Bucky and Nat at home and then I may end the story there. Let me know what you think I should do next!
