Syrena's POV

Some people like to say that life is a gift to everyone. But I prefer to think that Saturday mornings are the gift, because sometimes life can feel like a cruel punishment and there's nothing better than going out for a walk with the wind blowing through your hair and the sun shining down on you.

Every morning I'd do this, sometimes by myself, other times with Luna who was actually really pleasant about it and completely understood the meaning of it. She'd listen to me whenever I'd ramble on, and I'd listen to her when she went off track and rambled on too.

Though this morning I had gone out without her. It felt nice, sort of.

Not everyone was up. Some of the Quidditch teams were out for their morning jog, and others were heading to breakfast. Which I should probably get to after the walk, seeing as I had skipped dinner last night to finish an essay for the horrible Professor Snape.

"Syrena!" The so familiar voice yelled out from behind me. It was such a stupid decision to walk by the Quidditch fields. But deep down inside, I wanted to go. I just didn't want to admit it.

I turn around to see, you guessed it, Draco in his Quidditch uniform. It's funny how they're still practicing even though there's no Quidditch season this year.

"Hello Draco! I didn't know you'd be here." Can you tell I'm a big fat liar?

"I'm just practicing for next year. Do you play Quidditch?" He asked.

"No actually," I answered and Draco grinned, "Oh, why do I have the feeling we're going to share some stupid and cheesy Quidditch moment?"

Almost every single fiction book I've read written by a thirty year old witch has had that glorious scene where the guy tells the girl to wrap her arms tightly around him, and they fly off into the sun set as if one of cupid's arrows had hit them with a strong impact.

"Not really a Quidditch moment, more of a flying moment. Come on, get on." He says. I freeze for a while. Is he really offering to take me about fifty or more feet in the air? Heights and I do not have a bright past. Being the child of the water, that's where I like to stay. It feels way safer than there being a slight chance that I could fall to my death.

Without another word, I sat behind Draco on the broom and closed my eyes. Things look better that way when you're afraid.

"If you tell me to wrap my arms around you I might just have to punch you in the face." I whisper into his ear.

He smirks at me and says, "Well when you fall off and die, I won't be the one taking the blame for it."

When he kicks off the ground, my arms instantly wrap around his neck. Draco snickers a bit. So do I.

The whole ride I feel like throwing up. Let me tell you something, flying with Draco was not at all like the books I had read. In the books, the female characters realizes that they love flying and that the rapid wind feels so nice against their skin. That is the opposite of what I had felt.

My head was buried into Draco's back, and there might have been a tear or two shed as I screamed to get off.

Then he did the worse thing any human person could do. He turned us upside down.

When we got down to the ground, I just laid down on the grass and didn't get up. Draco tried talking to me, but I just kept my head in the grass.

Finally when my heart rate slowed back down to normal, I was able to talk to Draco.

"I'm never doing that again!" I yell at him. He still wears that smirk that should make me angry, but it doesn't. Why doesn't it?

What is Draco Malfoy doing to me.

---

Remember, the chapter used to be worse. So yeah. While re-reading I noticed that I couldn't re-write that chapter because there's no way that could have happened without Draco dying. So my friend Lila helped pitch in ideas, and we got the cheesy Quidditch idea. Everyone uses it, but I was that desperate for ideas. There's not much you can do at Hogwarts with a person that isn't your close friend or boyfriend (well in this story). So one more huge thanks to Lila for the idea! I was actually about to start to panic because I wanted to finish this story by the end of break, and I have until Sunday (Oh no!)

Hope you enjoyed this weird chapter! Hopefulle you've noticed the characters start to question why they like and act a certain way around each other! Have a nice day!
