Chapter VII

ZACH’s POV 

            Someone’s cry woken me up. It wasn't Rian, not Alex. I look for Jack, he was not on the bed and Lisa too, where are they? And Cara was definitely downstairs. As I heard a cry, I thought it was Lisa, I woke Alex up. Cara and Lisa were talking.

“Just don’t tell him.” Alex heard it, son of a gun. 

“Don’t tell what Lisa?” Alex was astounded, while Jack was at the front door stocked up and looked shock, his eyes were bigger and hanged on the phone.  What was happening?

“Lisa, I think it’s him.” Jack went inside already.

“Who?” Alex asked while Jack ignored him.

“Talk to him, outside.” A saw a serious Jack Barakat.  Lisa listened and went outside.

“Jack, what was that?” I asked him.

“I’ll tell you later. I felt that I ran out of energy.” He flashed to the kitchen for water. Why?

“Uncle, no. Don’t. Please? For Wendy’s sake.” Poor Cara. I sighed.

“Alex…” I walk towards them, “We’ll ask Lisa after she talks to that person on the phone alright? Just don’t bother her now.” But Alex was a stubborn, he kept trying to go outside. Jack’s taking too long, he’s the only one who could stop Alex.

“Alex, stop it.” Finally, Jack entered the scene before these two explode again.

“What’s happening??? I want to know. Seriously.” He grabbed Alex’s arm took him away from the front door.

“And seriously, it’s not good for you if you knew it, aye?” Jack crossed his arms, it’s really cute when these two fights and someone will scold the other.

“No! That’s hilarious! I’m the father!” Alex sat carelessly and left off a short laugh.

“We’re doing this for good.” As he looked at Alex. I was wondering, what it was all about? Why does it have to be hid from Alex?

"Believe him uncle.”

“Just stay out of this alright?” Oh, Alex, stop being rude already. I understand him though, his daughter’s life is what we were talking about here.

“Cara, just… just go outside, let me handle this.” Jack face palm. When Cara was about to go Jack grasp her arm and look into her eyes, deep.

“Don’t cry, alright?”

“Stop the melodarama!” Jack faced him and he looked mad. Uh-oh. Someone’s in trouble.

“At first Alex…” he pushed Alex down harshly to the couch while me watching them. “It’s not a fucking melodrama, if you just saw her how she cried earlier. Second, we’re doing this thing for your own good. And for Wendy’s sake.” Silence.

“No! I want to know!” Alex shouted.

“Stay calm Alex, everything will be settled if you did.”

“What are you hiding?!” He shaked Jack’s shoulder. After a while Jack hit Alex at his abdomen. 

“Whoa, whoa. Cut it guys.” I went in between them.

“Wendy’s like a daughter to me Alex, for us. I’m trying real hard just to find her, I’m tired and so are you. All of us. And can you please listen for once? Please. I understand why you’re acting like that,. But please.” Jack break down, he cried. Man, Jack cried, I can’t believe that.
