Oblivious (a Kim Jongin story)

Chapter Three.

Jasmine's POV

I woke up feeling bright and happy. I'll be going to the zoo with Taemin today. It was 8:12AM and he said he would pick me up at 10AM, which gave me enough time to get ready.
I stepped out of my bed and went downstairs to get breakfast. There wasn't anything special inside of the cabinets so I decided to go with a bowl of cereal. After I had finished the bowl I went back upstairs to take a shower. I was home alone already since my parents left to the United States around 4AM.
I stripped myself out of my clothes and turned on the faucet. When I stepped in the shower I changed the temperature to my liking and started doing my routine. Shampoo. Hair mask. Shower gel. Conditioner. Shaving. And body lotion.
I dried myself after I was done and wrapped a towel around my body. I walked to my room and into my walk-in closet. Once again I had no idea what to wear. Today's forecast was dry with a little bit of sun and a nice temperature so I decided to go with white skinny jeans, a plain grey shirt and a bomber jack. When I had put on my clothes I grabbed my make-up and added foundation, eyeliner, mascara and a nude shade of lipstick. I still had some time left so I went on tumblr to reblog some pictures. After scrolling through my homepage for a while I heard the doorbell ring so I quickly got up and opened the door, revealing Taemin waiting for me.

"Hey Jasmine, ready for today?" he greeted me with a sincere smile.

"Yes. Thank you for taking me out." I closed the door behind me and locked it. Taemin placed his hand on my lower back and leaded me to his car. When we were both seated he started the engine and made his way to the zoo. He put on some music, which was a cd by Chris Brown. We started singing along to 'Fine By Me' and I heard he has a really good voice.

It was only a twenty minute drive so before I knew we arrived at the zoo. He parked his car somewhere close to the entrance and we got out. When we stepped into the reception Taemin bought us both a ticket and we walked into the zoo.

The first animals we saw were tigers. We stood close to the fence and Taemin took a picture. The two animals were playing with each other and it looked so cute. I heard Taemin chuckle beside me and my heart skipped a beat.

After spending some time with the tigers we continued walking and went to the elephant house. There were a lot of elephants playing with water and there were even some little ones. Sometimes I laughed slightly at how clumsy the calves could be. From the corner of my eyes I saw Taemin looking at me and I blushed.

"You look cute," he nudged me and smiled at me. I giggled at his comment and looked down, trying to hide my burning face. He laughed at me and told me not to hide my 'pretty face'. I looked up and was greeted by a gorgeous smile.

"Come on, let's go to the butterfly garden." He took my hand and led the way. The garden was beautiful. Exotic flowers, little water streams, cute bridges and the colorful butterflies. I took pictures of my surroundings and felt truly happy. This place was amazing.
At one point was a bush with pink flowers. It was really high so it covered the wall behind it.

"We should take a selfie here" Taemin suggested and we did. He took my phone and stretched his arm to get a good angle. The both of us smiled and Taemin took the picture. He showed me the result and it turned out really good. I decided to post it on Instagram with a sweet caption and tagged him in it.

We spent the whole day at the zoo and shared a lot of laughs. Our day was absolutely amazing. Around 2PM we sat in a restaurant near the giraffes to get some coffee and Taemin got this mustache because of the foam. It looked so cute and I had laughed at him before I helped him wipe it off.

When we left the zoo we had dinner at a local restaurant, nothing fancy, but it was great.

We arrived back at my place around 7PM and he walked me to my front door. When I had unlocked it I offered him to go inside but he had dance practice to attend. Before he left he gave me a long loving hug which gave me a chance to inhale his scent. Manly, comforting and nice. When he let go he gave me one last smile and walked back to his car. I watched him drive off and went inside with a feeling of satisfaction.

Taemin's POV

I drove off to the dance studios and started thinking about today. Jasmine and I had a good day. I felt like she starting to have a little crush on me. I could tell by the way she takes glances of me or how she smiles at the smallest things. Also, she blushes whenever I say something sweet. Do I like her too? Probably not. But she's pretty so I won't mind to spend some time with her. Jongin does like her though, but he doesn't have the balls the tell her about his feelings. So I don't have to feel guilty about spending time with her or getting closer with her. He could've told her a long time ago but he never did. Now it's my turn to have some fun with her.
