Jasmine's POV
Just when I finished putting all the blankets and pillows away, my dad walked into the house. He greeted me but went straight to his home office. He has business to do, he said. I decided to go up to my room and wait until dad was done so we could have dinner together. Mom wouldn't be here anyway, since she had a night shift again. I laid down on my bed and played some games on my phone until I saw a text message pop up.
From: Yeonhee
Hey Jasmine, could you give me Jongin's number? :)Right, I forgot about that. I shared his contact with her and she replied.
From: Yeonhee
Thank you so much, I owe you. XI put my phone away and went to my desk to do some homework that was due tomorrow.
Jongin's POV
I had sent my parents a message when I was on my way home so they could set the table. When I came home I went straight to the kitchen and saw that everything was indeed ready. I greeted my parents and sat down at my regular seat. My mom put vegetables and meat on my plate and I started eating.
"Did you have fun with Jasmine today?" my dad asked me, not looking up from his plate, but I could hear the sincerity in his voice. I thought back at today and smiled.
"Yeah, we had a good time," I replied and continued eating.
"She's a nice girl. I'm glad the two of you are still as close as you were when you were kids. She's going out with Taemin right?" When my mom mentioned Taemin and Jasmine's relationship I suddenly felt sad. I'm used to it now, but it still doesn't make me happy. Of course I am glad they are happy, but I can't help but wish that it was me who was the one to call Jasmine their girlfriend.
"Yeah, she is." I didn't feel like talking about them so I just kept my answer curt.
"Lee Taemin?" dad asked me and I hummed in response.
When we finished dinner I went upstairs to my room and laid down on my bed with a deep sigh. Today was great. Spending time with Jasmine really made me feel good inside. I couldn't help but smile when I thought back of how me and Jasmine had laid in that fort watching a disney movie with hot chocolate and popcorn. I wish we could do it more often. When she placed her head against my chest to cry about Mufasa's death I felt all warm inside. I loved the way her arms were around my waist. I loved the way I could smell her scent when I placed my head on top of hers. I loved the way her hair slightly tickled against my jaw and most of all I loved the way she didn't feel embarrassed and just cried in front of me. It shows that she's comfortable around me and I admire that.
I sighed and took my phone out of my pocket when I felt it vibrate.
From: Unknown
Hey, this is Yeonhee. How are you?First I was really confused and had no idea who Yeonhee could be, but then I remembered it was one of Jasmine's friends.
To: Yeonhee
Hey. I'm good, thank you. Not to be rude, but how did you get my number?Honestly, I didn't even know why she would text me. We've never talked before and barely know each other. What could she possibly need from me?
From: Yeonhee
I got it from Jasmine. I was just wondering if you would ever want to do something nice after school? So, there I got my answer. To be honest, I thought it was weird that she wants to hang out with me, but it won't do any harm and I could at least try it. Maybe we could be friends. I texted her that it seems nice and we made some plans. Since I'm quite busy with dance practice lately I told her to come to the studios after school tomorrow and we would grab some coffee when I finish. She agreed to it and said she would see me tomorrow.
I didn't know what to expect at all and I hoped it wasn't going to be awkward. I'm shy around people I don't know that well, especially girls. Maybe she would be an easy person to talk to and everything would go naturally. Let's hope.
Jasmine's POV
I walked into the school building after Jongin had dropped me off. He still gives me rides to school which I think is really nice. I got some books out of my locker and started looking for some friends. When I found Emma and Yeonhee talking to each other I approached them and mingled into their conversation.
"Good morning," I said with a smile and they greeted me back.
"Jasmine, thank you so much for giving me Jongin's number. We're going to grab coffee together today after his dance practice." Yeonhee had a huge smile on her face and looked extremely excited.
"Really? That's great! I'm meeting Taemin at the dance studios too, so we could go together if you want." She nodded and agreed before we heard the bell ring and walked to class.
The whole day long, Yeonhee wouldn't stop talking about how excited she was to see Jongin. Emma and Jennifer got so annoyed after a while, that they would roll their eyes playfully when she mentioned him again, which made me laugh. Yeonhee was smiling all the time and it seemed like nothing could ruin her mood. When the day had finally come to an end we took the bus to the dance studios to meet Taemin and Jongin. When we got there I could see them practicing with Sehun and Yixing.I opened the door and stepped inside. They either didn't notice us or just didn't want to get distracted because no one turned their head. When the song had ended they were panting and I spoke up.
"That was so good." I walked to Taemin and gave him a kiss on his cheek. They all mumbled a 'thank you' and Jongin gave me a quick hug as greeting. Sehun and Yixing just slightly waved at me. I looked at Taemin and saw him struggling to get his breathing even again, so I grabbed his water from his bag and handed it to him. He gave me a short smile and drank almost everything. The guys practiced the choreography a few more times and Yeonhee and me were watching them.
When Sehun and Yixing went home it was just the four of us left. I was sitting on the couch with Taemin, my legs crossed over his, talking about our day. Yeonhee had asked Jongin if he could teach her a part from the dance and he agreed, so they were dancing together. Taemin rubbed his hand over my thigh and gave me an intimidating look. I tried to ignore it and saw Yeonhee coming our way. Taemin immediately removed his hand from my thigh and grabbed his phone.
"Where's Jongin?" I asked her.
"Oh, he's getting changed real quick. We're going to get coffee now." She smiled brightly.
When Jongin came back they waved us goodbye and walked out of the room. I really hope it won't be awkward between them, since I know how Jongin could be with people he's not comfortable around yet. As soon as they were out of sight, Taemin hovered over me and pinned my hands above me. His mouth met mine and he started to move his lips against mine. It was kind of rough and I didn't know how to react. When we heard the door he pulled back and sat up again. I turned my head and saw Jongin walking back into the room, saying he forgot his phone. He eyed us suspiciously and walked back to Yeonhee. I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. I could almost hear my heart beat and I was shaking. What has gotten into Taemin lately? He acts sweet and gentle when we're around others, but his mood seems to change completely when we're alone. It's like I don't even know him anymore.
