No. This couldn't be happening. I barely manage to take care of myself, I cannot possibly take care of a baby! I have gone for 2 days without food, and though I have gone longer, but this baby needs food much more often than I do! OK Amy, calm down, just leave- Oh no... What was it! Was it a boy or a girl! I plucked up the courage to check. First, I made a nest of blankets around the infant to protect them from the chilly January wind. Then, I carefully unbundled the baby, and then I got my answer. It was a beautiful baby girl! I bundled her back up as fast as I possibly could, not wanting her to get sick. I knew that I couldn't just leave her on the street, doing that, I may as well put her with someone who was even more incapable of taking care of her and giving her the love that she needed. Well, Amy. Might as well keep her until you can think of a better option. I looked down at the precious bundle of blankets in my arms, and a warm feeling flooded my heart. Yeah. I can work with this for a while.
