-same day as last chapter-
It was silent in the car for a while. Her father kept looking over at her worried. He asked multiple times if she was hungry. He'd also asked what was in her mind and what was wrong and on and on. She couldn't answer.
After a little while, she did say she was hungry, but that was it. They ate in the car. He kept trying to ask questions while they ate, bit she couldn't answer truthfully.
Then, since he finished and she couldn't eat anymore, from depression or lack of food the past years, they started to leave. She spoke up suddenly when he asked if she was alright. She burst into tears and told him everything from start to finish.
Then she started on when she attempted and then the hospital and Johnathan and how much he'd cared. It was too much to hold in. He asked something she couldn't hear through her tears. She closed her eyes and calmed down some.
She hadn't told him one thing. They'd kissed. That was what had happened before he said those three powerful words that were used so loosely these days.
"Do you love him," he asked again in a gently calm voice. She nodded, not trusting her voice to obey. He nodded and started the car. When he pulled out he started heading back the way they'd came.

Johnathan tried his best to not cry. He knew there was nothing he could do to stop it. He'd never see the only girl that loved him again. Yea, maybe he's see other girls on the future, but none like her.
He couldn't explain it. Maybe it's because she didn't look at him like other girls. They looked at him like someone would look at trash on the street. Not Samantha.
Not only that, but she didn't pull away from him. Their souls were in sync. He didn't say heart because the heart is an organ. Still his heart did hurt, which he didn't understand.
Then, something he never expected happened. When he got out of school, she stood outside, waiting. He couldn't help himself. He ran up and hugged her without thinking. He felt her arms around him and he held her closer.
Then he remembered where they were and pulled away awkwardly. She instantly explained how she got there. Her father stepped up. He didn't look threatening, nor relaxed.
"So, you're the boy, Johnathan correct? It's nice to meet you." He said in a casual voice holding out his hand. They talked for a moment before Samantha cleared her throat.
Her father took them to a movie and bought them drinks. They held each other's hand the entire movie. He'd never been happier in his life.
