Cursed (Part Six)

The teachers were extra nice to me through the classes. I got to choose someone to help me get to classes and we got to get out of class early! I chose Carla. We got to sit next to each other every class, and boy did we get on the teacher's nerves! They couldn't do anything though, she was my partner and she was looking after me. The day went great and a couple of people who were on the trip kept asking if I was ok. I felt so special, until lunchtime. The throbbing had gone from being really annoying to soothing. I was just getting used to it being there when we walked out of our fourth period for lunch. We lined up to get our lunches, when Miranda and two other girl's I didn't recognise came into the cafeteria. It was still five minutes to the bell and she wasn't meant to be out of class, but I didn't say anything. Until she came into the bit where you collect your lunch. She shoved me out of her way, knocking me over and causing the room to start flashing red and spinning. I barely heard Carla screamed my name. I sat on the floor trying to sort the room out, but it wouldn't stop spinning. I sat there trying to get it away. In the end I pulled my knees to my chin and ducked my head down. I closed my eyes and counted to thirty. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10... "Martz! Martzie! Martha! Are you ok? Miranda look what you've done!" A laugh, high pitched like a witch's. The throbbing became louder as I stood up, regaining my strength. It took me a while, about a minute or so, to realise I was thinking something in time with the throbbing. One word. Push. Push. Push. Push. I shook my head, but the thumping became louder, faster as did 'Push Push Push' It wouldn't go away. Without realising, I started to walk towards Miranda who was laughing hysterically. The closer I got, the louder the word 'Push' got. I heard Carla call my name, and I wanted to turn back. But for some reason, I couldn't. It was like I had to push Miranda. I didn't like this sensation, of not being able to control myself. So I pushed her. As soon as I did, I couldn't hear the word push anymore, and my throbbing slowed down. I collapsed on the floor, I was scared and worried. Carla rushed over to me immediatly, "Are you ok?" She was frantically trying to lift me up. I helped her, trying to climb up myself. "Yeah." Was all I could say. Yeah. She looked into my eyes and knew there was something I needed to tell her. She nodded. We grabbed our lunches and walked out and sat at a table. I had a LOT of explaining to do.

We sat at an empty table far away from other people we know or care about. Carla gave me a stern look as she sipped her milk.I sighed and looked at the table while I fiddled with my food.

"So, what happened?" Carla was the first to speak, she was obviously curious. I let out a long sigh, there was no way I was getting out of this one.

"Well.. the room started spinning so I sat down to calm myself. Then like, I don't know how it happened. But the throbbing got worse and then I kept hearing one word, push. I got scared and panicked, I couldn't control myself. So I pushed Miranda." I looked up at her, hoping she beleived me. She bit her lip, like she always did when she was thinking. It seemed to take years for her to answer me, and I was doubting she beleived me when, "So, your saying... it talked to you!!??" I nodded, taking a deep breathe. I looked down again, then up. I stuttered as I replied, "Y-Y-Yeah... It was like... like it was telling me what to do. I was so scared Carla!" She bit her lip again, studying my face, trying to see if I was telling the truth. I pleaded with my eyes, needing her to beleive me. "Something weird's going on here..." she said slowly, "And we're going to find out what it is." I looked at her, shocked. How are we going to do that? We're not even fourteen yet! She smiled. She knew what I was thinking, without even having to ask. "We'll find a way, Martz. I am not letting you live your life being controlled by some angry wound." We burst out laughing then, it sounded so stupid. An evil cut? Stupid idea. But it was something. People started to stare at us. We shutup. Biting our lips, trying not to giggle, we ate our lunch. As soon as we escaped to the careless atmosphere of the field we let out our giggles. I tried my hardest not to move fast, but it was just so hard! The more she laughed, the more I had to. We soon stopped though, when Nathan came over. Nathan was the hottest guy in school, every girl had a crush on him. Well, every girl except me and Carla. We didn't need boys. "What you laughing at?" He asked curiosly as he pushed his dark brown hair away from his eyes. His green eyes stared at us, questioning us. We looked at each other, letting out a small giggle, "Nothing." We replied together, and soon begun laughing again. My head started throbbing too much though and I had to sit down and take a breather. Nathan crouched down and put his hand on my back, "You alright?" I shook him off and nodded, still smiling from all the laughing. He smiled too, not that I was interested. He got up and started asking Carla why we were laughing. Nathan had been our friend since we were young, so she decided she'd let him in. Which I didn't mind. "Can you keep a secret Nath?" He raised one eyebrow, but he nodded. Carla looked at me, and I nodded, still seeing the feild spinning and changing colours. "Nath, something weird's been going on. You know Martz' Dream?"

"Yeah. I heard she had an attack in that tower too."

Me and Carla nodded.

"Well since then she's had a throbbing head. And when we were getting our lunch Miranda pushed her and like. While her head was throbbing.. It was telling her to push Miranda, and she tried to turn around but she couldn't. So she pushed her. Something's going on, and we're going to find out. Are you in?" Nath thought for a minute, looking sort of cute as he did. Then he nodded, he loves mysteries. We done our signiture handshake, which was a triple hifive then a giant hug, and went our seperate ways. This was going to be an eventful week.

All through the week we sat at the table we sat at on the day we agreed to find the bottom to this mystery. Nath searched the library, coming up with bizare and crazy explanations that made us laugh. Carla checked all through the internet, reading thousands of stories on the Tower of Hell. Only a few gave us infomation. I wrote done everything we had, no matter how bizare it was. We also recorded my many dizzy fits and 'time-outs' to see how I acted, see how I reacted to different things. We got lots of information from that. But we only came up with one completly bizare explanation.

An angry spirit had chosen me to take revenge.

The thing is, who was this spirit?
