I woke up in my own bed, still feeling a little dizzy. I got up a little too fast and my head throbbed like hell. I lowered myself down and remembered what happened. I smiled to myself, Miranda deserved it. I heard footsteps outside my door and my mum slipped in. She was carrying soup and a mug of hot chocolate. I sat up slowly, trying not to fall. She smiled, happy to see I was ok. She laid the tray on my lap and sat at the bottom of my bed. She watched as I scoffed it down. Man, was I hungry! When I'd slurped my soup and sipped my hot coco, she bombarded me with questions and exclamations. "I was so worried when Tina called and said you had fainted in Carla's room! I was glad to hear you fell onto her bed though. What were you doing that caused you to faint? She heard shouting and thump and when she came upstairs Carla was slapping Miranda!" My mum hardly breathed, and I smiled when she said about the slapping. She raised an eyebrow, which made me laugh harder. My head throbbed, but I couldn't help myself. "Well, Carla asked if I was ok and I said yeah, then she asked what happened and I told her. Miranda called me weird so I got kinda angry and we started arguing and the room started spinning but I was so angry I started yelling at her and then Carla slapped her and well, I fainted." My mum sighed, she knew I had a really bad temper at times. My head was throbbing but I hardly noticed it, I had gotten used to the pain by now. My mum shook her head, dissapointed. I smiled. My mum is all about what the neighbours think. "I think it's best you stay at home tomorrow, to be on the safe side." I shook my head, big mistake. The room started spinning and I had to sit there quietly for a minute to make sure I was ok. "I don't want to miss school! I want to see Carla! Please mum, if I don't feel good I'll go to the office, promise!" She sighed, there was no way she was going to win this battle. I wasn't going to lay at home and waste my day! I had to see Carla! "Fine, but you better keep that promise and I better not be running up to that school because you've fainted again. I didn't realise how bad an effect that tower had on you, I'm sorry." She paused, "Oh and your so not doing P.E!" I chuckled, I didn't want to do P.E. I just wanted to see my best friend!

Morning dawned too quickly, and the sun sneakily peered through my curtains. My alarm began beeping loudly beside my ear. Aggravating my head, making it throb furiously. I sighed and hit the alarm hard. It soon shutup. I laid there for a moment, waiting for the throbbing to return to it's usual rythmn. I felt like i'd had a throbbing head since the day I was born. Strange. I slowly climbed out of bed and rubbed my eyes. I could hear china clashing downstairs. My parents were having breakfast. I walked over to my wardrobe and carelessly opened it. It was a mess, with only a few things hanging up. I really should look after my clothes, but to be fair I usually can't be bothered. I pulled out a pair of jeans and a top. I slipped them on a bit to fast and I felt dizzy. I sat down and had a breather. Wow, this is going to be hard. I slowly walked down the stairs, trying not to move a step too fast. I didn't mind, I liked taking things slowly. I also felt my head wound was a part of me, like I was born to have it. My mum and dad smiled as I sat down and ate my Cheerios. I never thought I'd be happy to eat these again, after weird hospital food.

My dad offered me a lift to school, and I took it. I don't think I'm ready to walk to school alone. He played the radio quietly so that I didn't get a headache. I watched the town whizz by. We arrived at my school and I hopped out. Big mistake, and I had to hold the car to steady myself. My dad shook his head and his beard shook with it, "Are you sure about this, kitten?" He always called me kitten when he was concerned, rather funny. I nodded and walked away, blowing him a kiss. I saw Carla and strolled towards her. Now usually I would have ran over, but I wasn't going to take the risk. It was bad enough hearing my year whisper about me behind my back. I knew what it was about, about my crazy panic attack. If it was a panic attack. I finally reached Carla and we hugged. She was smiling and it made me feel much better, despite the whispers. Miranda was standing away from us. She was whispering to some girls from another class. I saw she had a red cheek.

"So, what happened after I fainted?"

"I kept slapping and yelling at Miranda, until my mum came up. She stopped us arguing and called your mum. Your dad carried you to his car and he drove off. You worried me! Why are you even here today, I hear your head still throbs and you still get dizzy spells!"

I laughed, she's so worried. "Yeah, I know but it feels like it belongs to me, the throbbing and stuff! I've gotten used to it, and I think I can cope, honestly. I also wanted to show people I'm ok! I also saw you slap Miranda last night, just once. It kinda went black after that." Carla chuckled. She knew I wouldn't miss Miranda getting slapped for fainting. We heard the bell ring and saw all of our friends start walking towards the doors. We went in laughing, arms linked. We saw Miranda scowl at us, and we laughed harder. I loved having a best friend.
