Chapter 9: Night In New York

Finn's POV

Me- Okay, so you wanna help? I asked as Rachel and I hovered over all my boxes and suit cases.

Rachel- I'd love too. She smiled and began going through a box.

I wasn't worried at first until she reached in the box and brought out a frame. I looked at the label 'Finn's Pictures'.

I looked at her as she awed. I took the frame and saw that it was the picture with me in the tub with my duck when I was super young.

Rachel chuckled.

Rachel- Aww Finn you were adorable!
Me- Here. I said as I picked up a different box.

It was filled with stuff we could put around the apartment.

After 2 hours of unpacking and laughing we finally finished We both sat on the beige couch and dramatically sighed.

Rachel rolled over onto my chest.

She looked up at me.

Rachel- You said after we're done we could walk around New York. She said smiling.

I threw my head up.

Me- I'm so tired.

Rachel- It's cause' your old. She giggled.

Me- Okay lets go then, but we got to stop at the coffe shop though.

She nodded and got up to get dressed.

I got up and went to my new room and put on a sweater and shoes.

Rachel came out of her room dressed in jeans, a black shirt, and a sweater. She had her hair in a bun.

She looked cute.  Or maybe I shouldn't think about her like 'that' especially since she's my roomate.

Rachel- Ready?

Me- Yup. We grabbed our phones off the counter and headed out the door.

We grabbed our coffee and walked to Central Park.

Rachel- You know if you don't count the rude people and crazy traffic New York is amazing. She said as she looked up at the sky making her eyes twinkle.

Me- Yeah, I was never really excited to come here but it is really great here.

Rachel- Well that's because ypu have an amazing roomate. I lightly punched her arm.

Me- I guess.
I spotted a path as I looked around the park.

I grabbed her hand and got up.

Rachel- Where are we going Finn?

Me- On an adventure.

We walked by a lot of bushes but the path led to a small place, close to the water but had a carousel with a ton of lights.

She smiled.

We ran to the carousel like 7 years old and got on them. We were the only ones there.

She got out her phone and we took pictures together on the carousel.

We laughed as Rachel almost fell off the white horse.

After walking around New York we decided to head back Rachel hung her sweater up as did I.

Me- Well that was fun.

Rachel yawned.

Me- Who's the old one now it's only 10:05. I said laughing.

Rachel- Yeah, yeah whatever. I'm gonna shower and go to bed night, roomie.

I hugged her.

Me- Night roomie.
She tiredly walked to her bedroom and closed the curtain.

I walked to my bedroom plugged my phone into the charger. I grabbed some boxers a t-shirt and pj pants and headed to my bathroom.

Today was a long day, but somehow Rachel took alot of the stress out of my day and filled it with laughter.

Rachel's diffrent.
