On Coruscant in the Jedi Temple, many important figures seated in a silent circle. Obi-Wan, seated on the left, spoke interrupting the air of uncertainty, "I feel a great disturbance in the Force... Someone near to us has died."
"Who has died?!" a distraught member called out.
"Padme Amidala. Assassinated she was. The beginning of a dark age this is. The glue that held the galaxy together she was," Yoda answered. Many gasped and murmured among themselves.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Obi-Wan mumbled.
"Peace, Obi-Wan. More I sense. Lost contact with Anakin I have. Turned to the dark side he has." More nervous conversation followed Yoda's statement. With its symbolic leader dead, the galaxy would return to chaos. The most powerful Jedi the galaxy had ever known was gone. Anakin was now Darth Vader, the most powerful Sith the galaxy had ever known. Obi-Wan, in agreement with the other Jedi, was going to separate the children. That way they wouldn't raise suspicion. Luke, would be brought to Tatooine under the care of the Lars, Anakin's stepbrother's family. Leia, would be adopted by the Organa family on Alderaan, Padme's trusted friends. It was safer that way.
