Chapter 2

It was finally lunch and i needed to tell Bethany about Mr Ryan she was the only one who knew about us. "Bethany Mr Ryan wasn't in class and Mrs Dumbee came in and said she just got off the phone with the police about Mr Ryan and I have no idea what happened and I'm stressing out" I said as fast as i could when Bethany and I sat at our table in the cafeteria. Yes Bethany and I have our own table, where not the populars but we are up there some where.

"wow Alice calm down i'm sure his fine but don't stress out you will see him again, im positive"

" Im sorry Bethany i dont think i can come over tonight, with everything with Mr Ryan i will mentally not be there"

" No your coming and you are going to be there in every way possible, i need help for the maths test tomorrow if i dont pass i can't play soccer with you on Thursday for the school, we are versing the pythons"

"Fine I'll be over at 5:00 but don't expect any more than a pass on your test"

" That's fine with me."

Bethany slowly leans over to whisper something in my ear

" Hey Alice why is the new hottest group in school staring at you and not the popular group? no offence"

I slowly turn my head to see what Bethany is talking about and over in the far corner of the cafeteria are a group of hot guys and some flawless looking girls all staring at me like i just took all the chocolates off their table.

"why ARE they starring at me? do i have something in my teeth? or on my face?"

" No you look as stunning as always. They are just creepy"

" There are as pale white as my mum?"

" Alice you just have to accept that not everyone has as amazing tanned skin as yours"

" No but they are as white as like paper"

" Whatever Alice but im going to go ask them to keep there eyes to themselves"

Bethany quickly rushes over there and i rush after to her trying to stop her. Im too late though.

" Okay do you guys have a probably, stop starring at my friend"

" Bethany! sorry guys we will" i'm cut off by one of the guys

" Your Alice right?"

"Yeah. why?"

The same guy turns to the rest of his group and says

" I was right,her eyes changed"

" what my eyes didn't change, what the hell are you talking about?"

" Ahh Alice your eyes have a faint redness to them that i have never noticed before" Bethany says. I grab her arm and rush to the bathroom.

" Oh God what is happening to me" i say starring in the mirror

" Alice calm down it is probably nothing and they will be back to green tomorrow"

I breathe and realising i am probably over reacting i have more problems to deal with like Nick.

" your right lets just go to class"

" But the bell hasn't even rung?"

" Yes it just did then"

" No it" Bethany is cut off by the bell ring " How did you know"

" I.. I.. dont know"

" probably just a coincidence"

" Alright, bye"

Then there was a message over the loud speaker

" All students please make your way to the hall for an important announcement"

Bethany and I find our seats in the hall and listen to what Mrs Dunbee has to say

" Alright students now most of you have noticed that Mr Ryan was not at school today. well this morning i got a call from the police and the hospital. Mr Ryan this morning was attacked and is now in hospital with serve injury's. The police believe it was an animal attack but are not certain. I can't give you any more information as that is confidential. You all may leave for your next class thank you."

Im pretty sure the 4 rows behind me notice my hands and knees shaking and i can see out of the corner of my eye that Bethanys hands are turning purple from how hard i was holding her hand. I quickly let go and apologised. I went home early that day, i felt like i was about to throw up. By the time i got home it was 2:15 and i decide to go the hospital to visit Nick before i had to go to Bethany's place.

I know they are short i can make them longer if needed
