chapter 4

"Alice where were you, i have been worried sick"

"I was just at Beth's"

"Well thats what i thought so i called up Victoria and asked her where you two were and she also had no idea"

Great now i have got Beth in trouble.

"I can't talk about it right now mum please let me go to sleep I'm tired" I beg

"We will talk about this in the morning and with that animal attack that happened to Mr Ryan i don't think it is safe outside."

"im tired mum i promise i'll tell you in the morning"

I took two steps at a time and run to my room where i looked the door and flopped onto my bed. I just kept replaying the footage over and over and over again in my head. I decide a warm shower might help so i go the bathroom strip down and step into the hot water. Once I'm finished in the shower i decide i won't be going to school today because i have not slept a wink all night. It was now 7:00am and i was slowly drifting off to sleep. I think ill have a dream about the footage. As soon as i saw the lady in real life i disappeared on the camera footage but the lady i talked to was never there. The same thing happened at school but instead of disappearing my eyes turned red. At that last thought i fell into a slumber. I woke up around 2:00pm that day and so i went to go visit Nick and it was the other day at the desk again and Nick and i just talked.

"Hey babe i brought you your favourite book"

"Thanks Alice"

"Nick what happened if someone found out we were a thing?"

"thats not going to happen and i'll just move to a different school i won't give you up ever"

"Thanks Nick but i think I'm dangerous for you"

"What are you talking about?"

"You shouldn't loose your job over me"

"Look we have kept it a secrete for 4 months now we can do it till you graduate in 6 months".

After that Nick and I just talked about books. Then i went back home and decided i need more sleep if I'm going to come up with a great excuse for Beth, my mum was easy i just had to say i was at the hospital to visit someone and she nodded her head. I went to sleep around 5:00am and woke up at 6:00am not memorising my dream from last night. For some reason feel like i should of remembered my dream like it was important. I know what it is but i don't know what it is, if that make sense. It's on the tip of my tongue. Anyway i forget about because I'm probably just being paranoid. I walk over to my closet and i don't understand but none of my normal clothes are there. I spend 10 minutes looking around my room in case there hidden somewhere but no my normal clothes are gone. I don't want to go to school in just underwear so i pick something out from my new clothes. I pick some black stretchy jeans, a brown top a black leather jacket but not my usual one and some black boots. I walk into my bathroom and realised i haven't looked in the mirror today and what i see makes me scream. My mum knocks on the door

"What's wrong Alice?"

Should i tell my mum?

"Nothing mum" i decide not to i don't need to worry her. I look different i don't like to brag but i look amazing. I still look like me but with different features i no longer have tanned skin, i don't have brown hair and my eyes aren't green, instead i have pale white skin like my mum, auburn hair and red eyes. i can't go to school with red eyes but i can explain the other stuff. Before i get to school i go to the chemist down the road and pick up some contacts closest to my old eye colour. Once i get to school i put on my contacts in the car since i took my car today. I prepare my self by fixing my new auburn hair and applying some gloss. My clothes look like i'm going into a battle thought. Great another excuse i have to figure out. My car is new so everyone is starring at it waiting to find out who is getting out of the new black BMW in school. I slowly put each foot on the ground and everyone stares and my boots. This feels like i'm about to reach my climax for the year as i get my black leather bag that appeared on my bed i shut my car door close i turn around to face the school and everyone stares with moths dropped staring at me. I can't tell if they hate me or love me. You could here a pin drop with the silence, i walk past everyone and up to the entrance no one says a word. After 5 minutes at my locker of silence and whispers from the other students i hear Beth coming behind me.
