The Vengeance Project

We've done it guys!

'Guys, guys, guys, I... I think I... We... We've... We've done it!' Ruby burst out.

'Wait, what, no way, you mean we've actually done it?' Alex gasped.

All Ruby could do was nod her head.

Alex Lindley, Betty Towners, Ruby Chaddons, Jess Black, India Reece, Aine Thompson and Maddy Tolferd worked in the Heroes department at S.H.I.E.L.D. This meant they worked closely with the Avengers, but specifically, the girls worked and helping and improving their weapons and powers. However for the past couple of years, Agent Coulson had told them to focus on a different project, the Vengeance project. They had been trying to become Super Heroes themselves, to help the ageing Avengers, and make sure that they could save themselves for the big battles.

The girls had been working on this project for 4 years, with no success, until now. Each had been working on their own power, so that it could be designed for and around them. Finally due to a recent discovery of yet another new element, with the help of Tony Stark they were having a breakthrough. Ruby had just discovered a way to hack into CCTV cameras anywhere in the world, using just her brain. This meant that she could simply think of a person and see live footage of wherever they were doing anywhere in the world. Unfortunetly though, it didn't stretch far enough to see into other realms, like Asgard.

With this milestone cleared Ruby was focusing on making the footage less blurry and so she could ajust the sound. She also had to make sure she could contol when she used it, because other wise it would get very annoying very quickly. She had managed to implant some 'chips' into her brain, allowing her to access any CCTV, and possibly even get into other private footage.

Now that Ruby had cracked her 'power' it meant that she could develop it and help the others. So next she helped Betty develop her invisibility. The idea was, if Betty did a certain movement deliberately, she would turn invisible, or partially. So far she could successfully make bother her feet invisible and was working on the rest of her body. With Ruby's help however, she was making much quicker progress than before, and within a matter of weeks she could make her entire body from the waist down disappear. She then moved onto her arms and hands, and then finally her head. After just two months, she could now turn invisible, but she was still practicing controlling it.

As this was happening, Maddy was also making progress on her power. It had been inspired by her fiery hair, and the plan was, that when she was finished, se would be able to throw fire. Maddy had already figured out how to project the fire, and she had figured out how she was going to make the fire. All she need to do now, was figure out how to store it.

She had some ideas though. So far, she had come up with the basic plan that all she had to do was have some highly flammable liquid that she could essentially squirt out and it would catch on fire if it soaked into wood. Another idea she has was hat she could also stop any fires, by basically having a fire extinguisher in her other arm. She wanted to have two metal gloves, so that she could store the alcohol and extinguisher and simply by pushing a button in her palms. But it was a work in progress.

India however had different plans. She had no intention of making or designing herself a power. She was going to go one step further, and, in order to allow S.H.I.E.L.D. to understand Loki, she was going to take some of a Frost Giants DNA, and see what happend. S.H.I.E.L.D didn't know what the effects were going to be yet, or how they were going to get any Frost Giant DNA but they had a plan of Thor getting them some.

Aine had also jumped a milestone recently. She had managed to get some safe cat DNA and put it into herself, so that paired with steroids and some medical help, she now had enhanced senses and she was on her way to getting a fully functioning tail. However, at the moment she was stuck with a tail that she had no control over, and was irratating her so much, she just started taping it to her back.

Alex was also busy improving her power. She now had X-Ray eyes, although they didn't work all the time and sometimes her vision went blurry. Fortunetly though work was well underway of fixing and improving her eyes, and they were starting to work much more effectively now. And believe it or not, all she had to do was have a major operation to her eyes, putting in a pair of X-Ray scanns behind her eyes. Simple really.

And lastly Jess' power. She had already half mastered part of hers. As she was very muticultural and had lived in many countries, she was already fluent in many languages, but now she had gone one step further. With a simple transplant of and extra linguistic focused part of the brain, she could now understand all languages automatically, and speak and write them, including all codes. She was also learning how to do the best possible impressions and hoto throw her voice, so as to disguise herself.
