Martha stared in horror at the note and looked over her shoulder, eyes wide. She saw no one but quickly stood up, note in hand.
Mike and Rebecca heard running upstairs and Mike quickly ran to the stairs. Rebecca just walked over, going on her phone.
Martha came running down, gripping the note and Mike saw the horror. "What happened?" He asked but Martha only gave him the note. Rebecca scowled, having turned off her phone.
Mike examined the disgusting note.
'After the first night,
Long peaceful weeks will pass by for you.
Except when the time comes when I rid of you
Cancerous people. I am already close to ridding of one.'Mike read it over and over again, wide eyed. "Where'd you find it?" He asked shakily. Martha looked at the note. "By Rebecca's bag." Rebecca gasp and stomped up to Martha, slapping her cheek.
"WHY ARE YOU SNOOPING THROUGH MY BAG YOU BITCH?!" She screeched as Martha rubbed her cheek. Mike out a hand on her shoulder.
"Babe stop. She wasn't looking through your bag. She only found this note by it." He held up the note. Rebecca roared and snatched the note from his hand, ripping it. Mike and Martha gasped. "Why'd you that?!" Mike asked, staring at the now completely destroyed note."CUZ WHOEVER WROTE THAT IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE." She yelled and turned to Martha again. "And don't you ever go by my fucking bag again." She glared before stopping off and going upstairs, flipping her sandy blonde hair.
Nadia held in all temptations to puke as she peered closer to make sure she was seeing things right. Yep. Definitely what she had seen. A finger and it seemed new too.
She let out a yell to call the others down. Mike and Martha quickly found their way downstairs and to Nadia. She pointed at the finger, looking away. Mike stared at the finger in disgust and fear. Martha had already ran to the corner of the room, puking.
Nadia felt traumatized and Mike patted her shoulders. She managed to calm herself and her way upstairs to her room. She laid down and heard the others walking across the creaky floors to their rooms. She sighed, unable to determine if she could sleep that night.
She stared out the window, the moon casting a small light upon the trees. Nadia closed her eyes and began to wonder who it was out there, the one who had taken Ethan and the one responsible for the finger and broken window.
She wondered what would happen and who the being would go after next...
