The Korean alphabet called Han-gul was introduced in 15th century. It was twenty-four letters, ten vowels and fourteen consonants.

Each vowel needs careful attention in pronouncing, must differentiate the long and short.

Pronunciation of consonants is much like in English though they change sounds when they occur in the beggining, middle or final position.
