"I don't believe you and I'm not doing any of your dirty works. You need to send me back where I belong. Right now!" He was beyond confused and frustrated; he was boiling with rage.
"Now, now Aditya, you don't need to behave like a mannerless child," the woman tsked him, giving a smile which was nowhere near genuine or sweet. Instead, it made his skin crawl.
This petite woman with flawless, radiant skin and dark brown curls framing her face had been saying shit to him ever since he literally stumbled upon the cozy looking but unlighted living room through the... portal. That's what the woman had called it.
He actually would've found her quite beautiful and attractive, if not for her mismatched eyes that seemed to be ablaze. And he had a feeling that she wasn't wearing contact lenses.
"Don't call me a child!" He spat at her. "Send. Me. Fucking. Home." He said through gritted teeth and tried to advance in her direction, clenching his fists.
When he had landed in the room, minutes ago, he was able to recall his name. Memories of his childhood and the time spent with his family hit him hard but not as much as it did when he remembered the accident.
"Where's Raghav?" He had asked her, pacing around the room, "I need to see him. He was hurt!"
"Not all have it in them to keep up the struggle," was all she had said.
He could almost see the sadness in her eyes even though they seemed to burn all the time. But he was distracted and couldn't understand her words, neither did he care about what she felt.
"What do you mean? Don't fucking try to speak in riddles!"
"I mean that your friend is dead and you would have been too, if not for me. So I suggest you to keep your voice down and listen very carefully to what I'm going to say next."
Aditya was yanked out of the daydream about the nonsensical things the woman had asked him to do, by an invisible wall that prevented him from going any further towards her.
"Just because I'm being nice to you doesn't mean that you'll treat me with disrespect. You'll do what I said. Do you hear me?" Her ever-burning eyes were narrowed to mean, thin slits.
"Why the hell will I do anything for you? You're crazy and I'm not your servant!"
Surprisingly the woman's expression changed from malicious to thoughtful. He had expected her to shout and do some cheap magic shit. He still couldn't believe the 'portal and realm' crap that she had fed him. And why would he? Things like this don't exist. They simply don't.
