Chapter 2- catching up

(Max's POV )

Chloe had changed so much. I couldn't believe she had dyed her hair blue!
"I'll let you two catch up" Joyce said walking down the stairs " Just give me a shout if you need anything" Joyce smiled as she walked to the kitchen. I looked back at Chloe
"Let's go Max!" Chloe said as she grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs. I walked into Chloe's room. It had changed so much. There were posters on the wall but they were ripped. Her room is a mess. Then I looked at her as she turned her music down before sitting down on her single bed and patting the space next to her.  I sat down next to her and smiled. I studied the tattoos on her are. The skulls and Roses interested me I thought why she chose the design.
The room was filled with awkward scilence as we just looked at each other enjoying each others company. I so badly wanted to tell Chloe why I couldn't say goodbye.
"Hey max you okay?" I looked up at Chloe."you look really tired." As Chloe said that I yawned. This made Chloe chuckle. I watched her as a smirk spread across her face.
"Yeah I guess." I relied

(Chloe's POV)

Max looked so sleepy it was hella cute. When she yawned again I smirked.
" Why don't you go to sleep for a bit I don't mind."
"Chloe... I haven't seen you for 5 years." I sighed
" I know Max."
We talked for what seamed only a few hours. Max yawned again and checked her phone.
"Shit!" Max said as the light from her phone screen illuminated her face
"What?" I ask with some concern in my voice as I didn't know what was wrong.
"Chloe it's almost midnight."
"Holy crap!" I looked at her phone and sure enough it was 11:54pm.
"I have to get back to Blackwell!" Max got up to go but I grabbed her hand. I stood up still holding her hand.
"Max just stay tonight and I'll  just drop you off tomorrow." By the look on Max's face she was considering my suggestion.

(Max's POV)
For some reason I felt a different feeling while Chloe was holding my hand. Chloe was slightly taller than me so the situation was interesting I thought about what Chloe just said. After a while of silence she grabbed my other hand. This made me blush. I looked away from the blue haired girl before me.
"Max?" I reluctantly looked up at her and I could still feel the blush on my face.
"That would be great. Thank you Chloe." I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"No problem Mad Max"
