I slapped my hand across my phone, fumbling to turn off the alarm on it. I grumbled after I succeeded, my fingers going through my hair. "Fucking hell." I mumbled as I attempted to get up. I didn't introduce myself, did I? I'm Amber, a regular girl from a small town but I'm really not all that regular. I've been bullied, teased, and I've certainly been to hell and back. I also put pain to my body on purpose such as cutting, purging, anything you could name really. I enjoyed the pain. I really did.

I trip over my feet as I find my way to the bathroom, the moonlight barely helping to guide me in my dark room. I fumble with my hands as I feel for the light switch. I groan as I turn the light of my bathroom on, the light temporarily blinding me. "Shit." I grumble as I see myself in the mirror, just a plain wreck. That's all I was, a wreck. A worthless wreck. I pick up my toothbrush, not bothering to properly brush my teeth. I didn't want to see people at school, so why should I dress up for them?

"Amber, it's almost time to go!" My mom's voice dances up the stairs in a lovely tune.

"Okay, I'm hurrying up!" I yell back, attempting to be lovely but it failed. I jog to my closet, my eyes scanning the clothes I had hung up. Jeans? No way. Sweatpants? A huge yes.

I shuffle down the stairs slowly, my head pounding from sadness. I didn't want to go, and it wasn't just for a little reason. I slide my feet into my sneakers by the door and glance out the window beside it. Hell aka the school bus wasn't here yet so I leaned against the wall, playing with my fingers.

"Do you want breakfast?" My mom's concerned eyes stare at me and I shake my head. My mom thought I was happy but it was all an act. Deep down, I knew she was suspicious about how I acted. I mean I used to be so loud but nowadays she's lucky to see me because I'm always in my room. My mom and I have been living alone since 6th grade, when our dad left us. He just walked out and left us, no warning whatsoever.

"No thanks." I smile nicely, brushing her concern off.

"Are you sure? I don't want my little girl sad." My mom stated, wrapping her fingers firmly around her coffee cup as she leaned on the counter.

"I'm fine mom!" I lied.

"You'd tell me if something was wrong, right?" My mom pushed me to say something.

"Totally!" I lied as I heard the familiar squeal of wheels come beside my house. Shoot me now. I poked out the door, waving at the bus driver to pause.

"Bye sweetie, love you!" My mom says as I quickly kiss her cheek.

"Bye mom, love you!" I smiled sadly as I bounce out the door, cringing at the hell that was parked in front of my driveway. I shuffled to the bus and instantly shoved my earbuds in. I waved a hello to the bus driver and placed myself in the front, trying to avoid from everybody.

"She's so ugly." "She's an idiot, I saw that she failed English and math." "She doesn't belong here." I already felt the comments push their way into my ears. I turned the volume on my iPod louder and louder, so I could attempt to wash the comments out. It didn't work. Louder and louder until I felt my earbuds being yanked out of my ears.

"Hey!" I yelped, looking for the culprit. Tears stung my eyes as I saw who it was. It was Melandy. She was the most popular girl in school, yet she's been bullying me ever since 6th grade.

"Whatcha gonna do about it? Cry to your mommy?" The clique of guys behind her imitate a crying baby, and she jerks my iPod out of my hands.

"Please give me my iPod back!" I yelped, getting hit in the head.
