it's been a year since I saw Calum. It's kind of hard to fight the urge to pick up a phone and call him. I'm still 13. Calum's 13 now. His birthday passed, but I couldn't see him.
I stared at the telephone that was propped up on my night table. I groaned and flopped on my bed. I rubbed my pale face with my hands and sighed.
I miss riding my bike with Calum. I miss his dorky voice and annoying laugh. I sighed and stared at a picture of us on my table.
I miss Calum.
I fell into a deep thought. After moments of thinking, I finally snatched the phone and dialed Calum's number. After two rings, the phone picked up and I heard a small "hello?"
"Calum? Is that you?" I asked. I chewed on my bottom lip, hoping I didn't get the wrong number.
"Michael? Yes it's me, Calum." He answered. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I was so happy.
"I thought I had called the wrong number. It's been a year. I miss you, buddy." I said. I could just imagine how wide he was smiling. I wondered if he could do the same.
"I missed you, too. I wish we went to the same school so we could talk there." He replied. I nodded, and then realized he couldn't see me so I cleared my throat and said yeah. We talked for a few until I brought up the big thing I called for.
"Hey, Calum? Do you mind me coming over to your house in five minutes?" I asked.
"No, not at all!" Calum answered quickly. I smiled at that.
"Okay. See you soon." I finished off before hanging up.
"So, maybe I should get cleaned up?" I said and walked into my bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes and hopped into the shower. I washed my body while smiling. I couldn't stop thinking about Calum. How i'd get to see his beautiful smile and perfect tan skin again.
I got out of the shower and dried myself off with my towel. I hung that up when I was done and quickly went to my dresser to look for a pair of boxers. I found some and slipped into them, sliding over to my wardrobe next. I picked out a pair of black jeans and a green day shirt and changed. After I did that, I put on socks and shoes. I grabbed my phone and started to walk out my room and downstairs.
"Where are you going?" My uncle asked. I was hoping he didn't notice me.
"I'm just going to the arcade." I lied.
"Hopefully you're not seeing that tan boy, what's his name..." He trailed off, scratching his beard.
"Calum. His name is Calum." I said.
"Yeah, him. He seems a bit strange to me. Stay away or you'll be like him." He mumbled and walked back into his room. I nodded and continued to hurry out of the house. I grabbed my bike, hopped on it and started to ride to his neighborhood.
After two minutes I reached his house and saw him waiting on his porch. He was wearing black jeans with a big baby blue sweater with the words 'BITE' on it in white and messy font. When he saw me, he stood up and ran over to him. I dropped my bike and met him halfway. We embraced each other into a tight hug, glad to see each other.
"I missed you, buddy." I said. He nodded and buried his head in my neck. I saw some guys from school stare at me weirdly. I realized why they were doing it, so I broke free from our hug, cleared my throat and wiped my hands on my jeans. He gave me a weird look, but brushed it off and smiled.
"So, would you like to go on a walk down easy street?" He asked. I nodded and started to walk. We reached a field of flowers and ran to it. Calum sat down in the field and started picking flowers. I watched him create two flower crowns. He smiled at me and held one out.
"For me?" I acted surprised and gasped. He laughed and nodded. I took it and placed it on my head. We stayed at that spot until it was 5 PM. We got up and took it back to Calum's house. He opened the door and slipped his shoes off at the door. I remembered how mad his parents got when he didn't take off his shoes, so I made sure to neatly place my shoes there. We went upstairs and I stopped by Mali-Koa's room to see her watching TV.
"Hey Michael! Long time since I saw you. You're still the same way I left you. Idiotic." She said, getting up to ruffle my hair. I pushed her hand away and laughed. Calum told her our plans.
"Have fun!" She said before closing the door in our faces. I rolled my eyes and went into Calum's room. It was big and clean. If I had to choose between my room or Calum's, I would choose his. We sat on the bed and started to play a hand game. We laughed at how we messed up and then stared at each other. I noticed how cute Calum's squishy face was and how his eyes got lighter once they hit the light. We both leaned in and started to kiss.
Oh my god, what is this feeling? I thought as I felt flutters in my stomach. I felt relieved as I made out with Calum. Should I continue? I thought again. I felt something start to grow in my jeans, making them tight. I pushed Calum down on the bed and laid between his legs.
I've seen this in a video before, it goes from kissing to doing the dirty. I'm way too young, though! What should I do? I pondered. I didn't have enough time for thinking before Mali-koa burst into the room, holding a scissor. We jumped apart and she looked at us with wide eyes, forgetting about what she was about to say.
"What was going on?" She demanded. My eyes widened and I look from Calum to her, and then ran. I ran down the steps, slipped on my shoes and bolted out of the house.
"I'll call you later!" I yelled as I ran. I got an okay back, but the sound of my heartbeat drained it out. I ran all the way to my house and upstairs into my room. I closed the door and put a hand to my pounding heart. I slid down the door and sat on the floor. My boner went down due to all the panic. I was thankful because I didn't want to deal with it. I was so tired, I fell asleep right on the floor. I didn't even wake up to call Calum.
