DARK LINK

“He’s on his way here, isn’t he?” I snarled.

“He’ll beat you.” Zelda spat. I grabbed her neck and lifted her up off her feet.

“You will be mine,” I said. “He can’t have you.” I pulled her closer, our noses barely touching.

“I will never be yours. A pure being such as I could never marry a shadow.”

“Fine... I hope you don’t like West Castle Town. They will be the first to burn. All because,” I pointed at Zelda. “You won’t stand down and love me.” I smiled.

“You wouldn’t...”

“The oil is running through the streets! Just a small spark would set it off.”

“My people... Please...” She started to cry.

“You know how to stop me.” I cooed into her ear.

“I... I’ll marry you...”

     LINK

We went through Hyrule Field in the Faron Province. Ghiraher noticed the lack of enemies. I nodded in response. We moved on into Kakariko Gorge, still no enemies. We stopped at the Malo Mart to pick up some bombs and arrows when Ghiraher handed me a brown cloak.

“What’s this for?” She put her hand on her hip.

“Do you really think they’ll let the Hero of Light walk right through the front door to kill Dark Link?”

“Well, they didn't kill me at time...”

“Yeah, until you got shot with an arrow!” I scoffed.

“But if I didn’t, you’d be dead!” She went silent. I’d won our little argument.

A few minutes passed until she finally spoke.

“So, how exactly are you going to kill a shadow?”

“Well, I’m going to shove the Master Sword through his chest and see if that works.” I smiled.

“What if it doesn’t work?”

“Let’s just hope the sword in chest thing works. Honestly, if all of Hyrule planned ahead, there would be no Hyrule.” Again, silence. We went back to Epona and started toward Hyrule Castle.

We went over a hill to see this side of the castle surrounded by shadow beasts.

“Li-”

“Sh!” I covered Ghiraher’s mouth with my hand. “Get off and hide.” I commanded.

“What about you?” I smiled at her and pushed her off of Epona. I rode down the hill and dismounted. I ran back to Ghiraher and ducked behind a rock.

“What do we do?”

“I don’t know. We need an army.”

“All of Hyrule’s army is in there.”

“Zoras, Gorons, and whatever soldiers outside of the castle.”

“Will that work?”

“If the Golden Goddesses are on our side, yes.”

“Link, what do we do now? We can’t stay here.”

“I know, but every fiber in my being wants to destroy those disgusting creatures. I know I don’t stand a chance, but it is my duty as the hero to kill them.” I stood and ran back to Epona. I mounted her and waited for Ghiraher. She got back on Epona.
