They say that your childhood years are the best years of your life. They are your golden years. That was when you had the most fun and the most time learning and everything is blissful right.
Nope not me... My life isn't anything special. I was stuck doing shows, movies, singing and playing the piano.
My life had never went smoothly except when I rejected my past. I turned my future into my own.The only good thing that came from my childhood was my childhood friend, Mizuki. He helped me escape the nightmare I lived, and some else who showed me how to live normally, someone I meet when my freedom begins.
Yet, it took my whole childhood but like every kid, they grow up. Then, they learn the means to survive and thrive. I may not have a perfect childhood, but I sure will fight to make my life meaningful for once...but like every story it starts with the past.
"Asami walk up! It's time for you to start your piano lessons. If you want to be a good singer like mommy you need to learn to play it." My mother said opening up the door.
"But mom I wanna go out and play! I don't want to be stuck up in here all day!" I said looking up at her. "Please...I wanna play outside or go swimming!" Giving her my pleading eyes.
"How many times do I have to tell you! You have an expensive dress on! You can't go outside you'll get it all dirty! So no you may not now let's go Asami." My mom said as she grabbed my wrist and dragged me behind her.
Like always, I was forced to stay inside and learn how to play the piano. I snuck looks at the window. The sun was shining and the trees waved at me. It was so tempting to want to go and explore it. Yet here I was learning what a scale is.
"So Asami how many flats are in the c scale." My instructor asked me.
"Ugh... Um, two?" I answered.
"I knew your distracted okay fine we will start over." She said.
After my lesson, she went to talk to my parents. I stood on the stairs.
"Look I know that she is a young star and everything, but she does need her own freedom or she's not going to learn anything." I overheard my instructor say.
"What do you expect us to do? Huh?! She's an idol! People can hurt her!" My dad said.
"Let her go to a public school. Look you see this school right here. There is a young star enrolled there, they make sure that his is safe as safe as the other students. I'd advise you send her there, too!" The lady said.
"Fine. We will look into it." My mom said. For once I was actually happy. I always wanted to go to school.
A few days later, I was all registered. I was ever so excited! I couldn't wait to go to school.
I actually couldn't sleep, I tried but it never came. Eventually, I did though but I was still excited.
Soon, we got in our car and drove to school. I was so excited and when I had actually seen the size of the school, my eyes opened wide.
As soon as they pulled over, I jumped out and dragged my parents behind me. Didn't want them to take this away.
When I step foot inside, no one rushes up to me they just go about their business. I heard my name though but no one exactly ran up excitedly.
As soon as my parents get my class and take me there, I bid them goodbye. I may be ten, but I sure wanted to go in and make friends.
I walk in and my teacher told me to introduce myself.
I smiled and said, "Hello my name is Asami...Ito...Please call me Asami!" I lost my smile at my last name. I absolutely hated it. Anything that belongs to my parents I hated. I'm glad I'm a girl.
"Well Asami, the only seat available at this point is right next to Fujisaki." She said as she patted me off.
I looked and saw an empty chair next to a boy. He looked and sounded familiar. I sit next to him and he smiled.
"So I hear you’re an idol." He said quietly.
"Yup and I hate it! I just want to play, and be outside like all the other kids… I'm lucky to even be here." I whispered.
"Me too! Say let's make a promise to leave it!" He whispered back.
"Fine! You got yourself a deal!" I said smiling. That's when the teacher scolded us, but we just shrugged it off.
I never knew just what that promise would lead to. I met some pretty great people through him.I do owe him for at least pushing me in the right direction. He also brought me to someone I would grow to cherish. Someone I would want to spend the rest of my life with. As well as a really amazing and supportive best friend!
