Jj  heard a loud groan as she fell to the ground after colliding with something solid. She was surprised that she landed on something softer then the hard cement she was expecting.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry." She said, pulling her headphones out. She was on top of a man with dark hair, practically straddling him.  "Are you hurt?"

"No, I think I'm good." He said as he sat up. "Are you hurt at all?"

"I'm fine, I'm used to a little rough and tumble." She replied, then immediately regretted. His eyebrow raised and Jj  blushed, then she stumbled over her words as she tried to explain. "I have five older brothers, so, it's not the first time I've tackled any one to the ground." She chuckled awkwardly.

"Glad to know. Do you run here often?" He asked, brushing the dirt off his shorts. "Just so I can be on the look out for you."

"Usually, you?"

He nodded, "I try to at least a few times a week."

"Well, I'm very sorry, and I promise I'll keep my eyes open to not run into you again."

He smiled and ran off in the opposite direction, Jj watching him as he went, admiring the view.

After showering and changing, Jj  decided that she had just enough time to get a coffee from the shop before heading into work. She checked her emails while she waited for her order to be finished, when a voice came from behind her.

"Are you following me?" She turned and saw the man she had knocked over standing behind her with a smile.

"It would appear so." She smiled back. He had also showered and changed out of his work out clothes.

"Sebastian." He said, holding out his hand to shake hers.

"Jj." she slipped her small hand into his large one.

"Well, Jj. Would you care to join me? I have a table and everything."

"That's very tempting, but I need to get to work." She said checking her watch, feeling slightly disappointed that she had to leave. "But it was very nice to meet you, properly."

"And you." He opened the door for her and Jj started to head towards the street to hail a cab. One stopped and she was about to get in,  her hand was on the handle but she paused. Making up her mind she turned back to head to the coffee shop, and smiled when she saw Sebastian running down the sidewalk towards her.

"Can we get coffee sometime?" He asked, out of breathe. Jj  reached into her purse and pulled out a business card then handed it to him. "Detective J.  Collins. N.Y.P.D  Missing Persons Unit." He said with a whistle. "What's the J stand for?" He asked.

"Jj." She replied. He gave her a look and she sighed. " Juliette. Now, I've really got to get going. Call me later?" She said as she opened the car door. He gave her a wave and she got in her car and noticed he was smiling down at the card as he walked away.

Meeting Sebastian had put Jj in a good mood, but it only lasted until she got to her office. She spent the whole day on her phone, talking to people who were very unhelpful.

"People suck." Jj's  partner Tom Williams said after slamming down his phone. Jj smiled, she knew that there were more colourful words Tom would have preferred using, but the new Sargent had implemented a swear jar that was really cutting into Tom's beer fund. She rested her head on her hand and looked at her partner. He had been on the force twenty seven  years, as long as Jj had been alive.

" What's on your mind, kiddo?" He asked, making her shrug. " Late night?"

"Early morning. I've been running." As if on cue, Jj's  phone lit up.

"Detective Collins." She answered, expecting a tip on her missing person.

"Oh shit, is this your work number? Should I call you later? This is Sebastian, by the way. The guy you attacked on the running path?"

Jj chuckled,"No. It's fine. I can talk real quick"

"Good. I was thinking that instead of coffee, maybe you'd like yo get drinks. My friend told me about this place. I think its close to the police station."

"Drinks would be great." She said, lower her voice so Tom would stop eavesdropping. She jotted down the address he gave her. "I could be there for six, if that works?" She asked, turning her chair away from Tom.

"Six is good, so I'll see you there?"

"You sure will."

"Alright. I guess I should let you get back to work, shouldn't I?"

"If you wouldn't mind." Jj teased.

"Well, bye. See you at six."

"See you at six." She waited and heard the click of his phone. She turned back to her deck, and was facing  Tom, who had a smile on his face.

"Hot date?"

"Shut up Tom." She focused her attention on her computer and got back to work, ignoring Tom's look.
