Two days after...

Since she arrived in the hotel, Maine stayed inside her room. She already contacted her sister her family just to assure them she arrived safely. She requested them not to divulge her location to him just in case he tries to find her.

Thoughts and questions have been going back and forth inside her head.

Kasalanan ko ba lahat ito?

Bakit ang daling itapon ang limang taon na pinagsamahan?

Bakit ndi ko hinayaang mangyari ito?

She started fiddling her engagement ring again. Looking at it as her tears started to fall down from her eyes again. It was a symbol of their promise to each other that they will spend the rest of their lives together.

Flashback to 6 months ago in El Nido, Palawan

The sun was almost setting down the horizon as they were having their usual walk by the beach. They've been together for almost 5 years now. Like any other relationship, it wasn't always a bed of roses. They also weathered difficult times which tested them. I made them stronger as a couple.

He took her on this trip just so he could finally propose to her.

Babe, ang ganda talaga dito no?

Oo nga alam mo naman kahit saang beach mo akong dalhin eh masaya na ako. Palawan pa talaga, babe!

Diba dream mo magkaron ng beach wedding?

Oo pero alam mo naman sila Tatay at Nanay. Ayaw nila mas gusto nila na sa simbahan pa rin ako makasal. Sinubukan na nila Ate Nikki at Kuya John yan pero fail pa rin.

Eh di sa beach na lang ang honeymoon destination natin, babe!

Excited sa honeymoon destination! Hindi mo pa nga ako tinatanong kung magpapakasal ba ako sa iyo?

They continued walking towards a small cottage by the beach. He asked the hotel staff to prepare a special early dinner for them. And on the table there was a big bouquet of pink and white carnations.
