Nikki and I higged eachother and screamed. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The tower that we were on rumbled.
"Earthquake!" Nikki screamed.
The tower creaked. "Oh, no!" I screamed.
We flew up as fast as we could. The tower collapsed. The girls flew up, Syd and Alex were holding Kasey up.
"We- we gotta go" I panted. "Back to the hideaway!"
Xi Lan and Dusk carried the kittens, and Nikki and I helped. We rushed to the cottage, which wasn't even affected. We ran in, and rushed to the closet and went into the secret hideout.
Xi Lan leaped up onto my lap. He purred, I guess he was trying to calm us down.
Nikki sighed. I could tell she was overwhelmed, and worried. She had never been on an adventure like this.
I put my arm around her.
"The earthquake must have been caused by magic." I said. "There weren't any aftershocks, and that's just weird. That's just an inference..."
"We need to plan, fast." Blaze said. "Our existence is on the line here!"
We sighed.
Trouble was coming.
"I knew something wasn't right." I sighed.
