Sisters

It's been weeks since Shay had been in the hospital. Bianca and Tiara both took turns staying over night and watching over her as she laid helplessly and still unresponsive in bed. The weather was warming up and little flower buds were peaking through the grass, the air was clear and fresh , the sun shines bright but it was hard to appreciate the beauty from Mother Nature because everything seemed to screwed up.

Tiara been in the hospital all night, Bianca stopped in that morning and the two just decided to hang out and grab brunch .

"Man I can't believe our girl still hasn't woken up yet...I hope they figure out who did this shit" Bianca sighed resting her hand on Shay's leg.

"She's gonna wake up" Tiara nodded "..I can't help but feel like all this happened cause of me"

"Bitch don't start that shit, what happened to Shay isn't your fault and what happened to you wasn't your fault either" Bianca spat

Tiara was thrown back "nothing happened to me..this is about Shay..if I never--"

"Fuck that shit" Bianca cut her off "you can't play me on this T, I know Sheek beat your ass the other morning because you came in here with a hood over your head, sunglasses at night might I add and you had that shit pulled up tight over your neck but I saw the marks from that niggas hands...that shit ain't right!"

Tiara didn't know what to say. She never told Bianca any details from that morning. When she pulled up in front of the hospital she did the best to conceal her split lip with a natural matte lipstick, and hide the pain in her eyes and light marks on her face with her hood. She thought tying the hoodie up close enough to her neck was enough to hide the redness caused by Sheek's rage, but it wasn't .. Bianca knew and she was embarrassed and ashamed.

"We don't have to talk about it now okay?" Bianca touched her knee "but you really can do better, he had no right to treat you like that...I don't care what the excuse was..I really wish you would do better..but that's a talk for another day"

Tiara wanted to tell Bianca about Kilo, the points he made the other night in his car while they sat at the beach and how she's beginning to see things differently between her and Sheek and may consider leaving him but they were interrupted by Shay's Doctor .

"Excuse me ladies..I have some more news on Ms. Davis but I'm just giving her mother some time to arrive before getting straight to the point...now if my memory serves me correctly you ladies are??..." She paused to look at her chart but Bianca wasted no time and chimed in

"Sisters" she addressed confidently
"We're her sisters" Tiara assured again

The doctor nodded and smirked "absolutely" and quickly disappeared out the room again.

"Man I hope this isn't any bad news..I hope this is some shit to brighten up our lives cause things haven't been the same" Tiara began to get emotional

"Don't you two go and start that crying now...Shayanne is strong just like her mama and I know she will be alright" Shays mother entered

Tiara and Bianca both stood to hug her and the three women embraced in a group hug giggling and wiping away their tears. Only moments into the hug the doctor came back in and eased the door closed they didn't realize she was there until the door latched. They let go and began pulling theirselves together and eyed the doctor eagerly as she instructed for them each to take a seat as she began:

"Good morning ladies..again I am doctor Harris, Shayanne Davis is in my care I am the surgeon on her case and doing everything I can to save her life. We were able to remove the bullet --"

Bianca cut her off "Please doctor Harris just cut to the chase..why hasn't she woken up yet?"

Mrs Davis touched Bianca's should "come on now honey just listen..calm down"
