Chapter 5. The Secret

(A few days later)

Annabeth’s pov.

It is 8:00 and I am supposed to meet Percy at the dock in 15 minutes. I can’t find anything to wear! I ran out side and banged on the Aphrodite cabin door. Lucky Piper answered the door. I grabbed her hand and practically dragged her to the Athena cabin.

“I’m guessing you need help with what to wear and you have to be there in 5 minutes, right?”

“No. I have to be there in 15 minutes. HELP ME!”

She walked to my closet and picked out a cute, blue floral dress, and leather sandals. I usually don't wear things like that but this is my first date with Percy since he’s been back.

I thanked Piper and then quickly got changed. I brushed my hair and pulled it into my usual pony tale. It was 8:11. I walked over to the dock. Percy wasn’t there so I took off my sandals and stuck my feet in the lake. Then something started moving from underneath the water. A two hands and appeared and grabbed my ankles. I was pulled under water. Then, I was dry?

 I opened my eyes to so Percy in front of me with a black t-shirt and some dark jeans. We were in a bubble underneath the surface of the lake.

“Hello Wise Girl!”

“Hi, Seaweed Brain”

He must of noticed how mad I was that he pulled my under the water.

“Sorry”

“It’s ok”

Then, he smiled and said, “Time to eat!”

He shot us up from the water and we landed on the beach with a thud.

“Oww”

“Sorry about that. I should really work on my landing.”

“Its ok Percy.”

He got up and fetched a basket sitting on the dock. Why hadn’t I noticed that there before?

He sat beside me and opened he picnic basket. There were chocolate covered strawberries inside. I tried one. It was delicious.

We just talked and shared a couple of kisses. He then walked me back to my cabin,

“I had a great time, Seaweed Brain.”

“Me too Wise Girl” He kissed me softly on the cheek and turned to walk back to his cabin. I stood and watched mist disappear into the fog. I walked inside my cabin and immediately fell asleep, once my head hit the pillow.

*Beep*  *Beep*

“Ugh…” I hit the alarm clock with such force that if fell off my bedside table.

Walked to the bathroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth, and hair, and got dressed into my camp half-blood t-shirt and some jean shorts. The usual. Then I pulled my hair into a pony tale.

I walked to breakfast, but Percy wasn’t there. That’s odd.

Then I went to my archery practice, battle practice, and worked on my architecture project with Chiron. It was 12:30. In five minutes it will be time for lunch. I wonder where Percy is? I hope Hera didn’t take him again. The thought of that made me shudder.

Then to arms wrapped around me. Percy.

“Are you ok?” he asked.

“Ya I’m fine,” I answered. I turned around to see his face and gave him a peck on the cheek. Then Chiron blew his horn. It was time for lunch. I took Percy’s hand we walked to lunch. After lunch I asked Percy where he was earlier.

 “I slept in”

“Oh” That sounded typical of Percy but he looked guilty about something.

I'll get him to tell me later.

Percy’s pov.

I feel bad lying to Annabeth but I have to. She can’t find out.

I started to walk to my cabin but Piper jumped in front me and yelled,

 “OH NO YOU DON’T!!”

“What?” I asked.

“I thought about it, and I decided… NO.  Just wait a couple more years Percy please?” “But…”

“Nope, I wont let you.”

 “Ugh. Fine. I’ll wait.”

“Yay! Annabeth will be so happy!”

 “I was just going to bet my shield from my cabin, not the ring.”

“Oh, ok then, you may precede.” Then Piper walked away. Good, that’s over.

After sword practice and a couple other activities I went to dinner.

After dinner Chiron told us that at the campfire tonight, we would have a special guest. We have a big campfire every Friday to welcome new demigods to the camp, and make announcements. I wonder who the special guest is? I walked back to my cabin to change. After I changed into a clean camp half-blood shirt and some jeans, I walked to the Athena cabin. Annabeth opened the door and we walked to the campfire.

“Who do you think the special visitor is, Wise Girl?”

“I don’t know.”

“I don’t think I have ever heard you say that.”

“Say what?”

“I don’t know.”

“Shut up Seaweed Brain.” The she shoved be and I almost bumped into Leo. I gave Annabeth a stern look and she just laughed. When we got to the campfire Annabeth laid down a grey blanket for us to sit on. We sat down and I put my arm around Annabeth. This was perfect. I was with Annabeth. At camp. At the campfire. With all our friends around us. What could go wrong?

Annabeth’s pov.

With Percy’s arm around me I felt safe. Then Chiron said,

“I would like to welcome our newest member to camp half-blood. This is Jake. Son of Hermes.” “Oh great another trouble maker” I whispered to Percy.

“Now for our special guest. …..

Sorry i havn't updadted in a couple of days. Thsi chapter wasnt by best, but ill make my next Chpter better. Please comment you ideas and thoughts.
