Chapter 7. Planning

Percy’s pov.

I found Annabeth in her cabin. She was sitting on her bunk with her laptop in her hands. She didn’t notice me come in so I sat next to her on her bunk. After a couple of seconds she said,

“Hey Percy” without taking her eyes of the computer.

“Hi. What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to deign a case for phones that won’t allow monsters track it.”

“Wow! That s so cool! Can I have one of the first cases?”

“Sure Seaweed Brain”

“Yay!”

After she stopped looking at her computer she turned to me and said,

“Percy… tomorrow is your birthday”

“Oh, yeah” This meant that Annabeth would have to go back to California, and I would go to New York the day after my birthday.

“I don’t want to loose you Percy…not again” She started sniffling. Was she going to cry? I didn’t know what to do. I felt bad for leaving her, and I didn’t want to leave her.

“I have an idea!!!!”

“That’s new, Seaweed Brain,” we both laughed.

“Annabeth, why don’t you go to Goode with me? We have a guest room in our apartment. You could live with us?”

“I’d love to Percy, but we have to ask our parents since its such short notice.”

“Yeah. I’LL GO ASK MY MOM NOW!” with that I ran out of the Athena cabin to my cabin. I walked over to the fountain that Poseidon gave me and threw a drachma into the mist, from the fountain. “Oh goddess Iris, Please show me Sally Jackson.”

My mom showed up in the mist.

“Hi, honey! “

“Hey mom! I have something to ask you?”

“What is it?” She started to look worried.

“Umm… well…I was wondering…. If Annabeth could live with us and go to Goode with me? I know its a lot but…” Then my mom cut me off.

“Of course Annabeth can stay with us!! It would be no problem. You have to ask Mr. Chase though too.”

“I know. Thanks mom!” with that I swiped my hand through the Iris message.

Annabeth’s pov.

“Yes, Percy is talking with his mom now” “NO!” “Yes” “I will” “love you” “bye”

I swiped my hand through the iris message with my dad. Now ill just have to wait to hear what Percy’s mom says.

Just then Percy barged into the Athena cabin.

“Annabeth! My mom said yes!”

“Yay! I’ll send a iris message to my dad”

“ok”

I threw the drachma in the mist that Percy created with the sink water. My dad showed up.

“Hi”

“Hey Dad! Percy’s mom said yes!”

“Wow. Do you need me to send anything from home?”

“Yes, My clothes, and some books.”

“Which ones?”

“The first five books on the top row of my book shelf. Those are the ones I haven’t read yet.”

“Ok, ill send it over. Be safe ok?”

“I will, thanks dad”

“No problem! Bye!”

“Bye”

I walked over to Percy and said,

“Everything is set!”

“That’s great!! You will get to meet my friends… and we will go to school together…” He started rambling on and on. After he was done rambling, the horn for lunch blew.

We walked to lunch holding hands with goofy smiles on our faces.

“Hey Annabeth!” I turned to see Joseph, one of the Athena children running up to me.

“Hey Joe!”

“Our flight to California is at 10:00 the day after tomorrow. I just got the confirmation. Is that ok?” Joseph and I both lived in California so we flew there together.

“Um…well… actually I won’t be going to California.”

“What? So you are staying year-round?”

“No, I’m going to stay with Percy in New York.”

“What?! You are going to live with him?! Isn’t that a little too soon?”

“I’ll be staying in Percy and his mom’s apartment, in their guest room.”

“Ok!” Then he ran off, probably to go tell everybody.

 Percy’s pov.

I can’t believe my Wise girl will be going to Goode with me. She will meet my friends, and she will help me get rid of the bullies! What can I say, the girl can be scary at times. Everything was perfect. I can’t wait for the day after tomorrow. I also can’t wait for all the presents tomorrow, but this is more exiting.
