It had been at least two months since Will had let himself slip into that...that other him. Neither Bill nor Will really talked about the shy boy's reverse personality. One of the biggest reasons why they didn't talk about it was because of what caused him to develop a second personality. Will wasn't born with MPD, about three years earlier he ended up showing signs of the other personality. It was strange, he called himself Mike, and it made no sense to them.
Thank God he hadn't gone marching around all courageous, saying his name was Mike. They had gotten lucky that Bill had managed to get to Will in time. Last time Mike came in, it didn't really go well. That was another reason why they never spoke of Will's MPD. The twin didn't want to tell anyone about it, so only Will, Bill and their parents knew about it.
"You doing ok, buddy?" Bill asked carefully. He was sitting on the edge of Will's bed, holding a glass of water in one hand and a cornered look adorning his face.
Will exhaled softly. "Y-yeah. Don't w-worry. He didn't g-get to me too b-bad."
Bill sighed, handing his brother the glass of water. "You better be more careful. People could take advantage of you for being unstable."
Will made a face. "U-unstable? Taken ad-advantage of? I am c-careful."
"Then why did you let him get to you just then?" Bill said sourly.
Will averted his eyes in shame. "I wasn't r-really thinking."
Bill lowered his eyes lids, studying his twin. "And?"
"I-I wasn't paying a-attention. I was h-having so much f-fun with Wendy...a-and..." he stopped talking slowly, setting the glass aside. "I'm s-sorry."
Bill shook his head. "Be careful, Will."
The blue-haired boy nodded. "I will. I pr-promise."
"Do you want to go back out to Wendy?" Bill asked him kindly.
Will was hesitant in his response. "N-no... She probably th-thinks I'm bipolar or-or something..."
Bill hummed in sympathy. "I get yah," he murmured. "Do you want to go to the park now?" Bill yawned, rubbing his eyes, but did his best to focus on his twin.
Will shook his head. "I don't f-feel like going o-out right now."
Bill dropped his gaze, not able to see Will's face so put down like that. He yawned once more. "We'll go tomorrow, ok?"
Will smiled slightly and let Bill stand up.
The blonde yawned again, rubbing his eyes a couple times.
"You sl-sleepy or something?" Will asked, chucking lightly.
"Yeah," Bill exhaled and lumbered over to his bed.
"Y-you've been sl-sleeping a lot l-lately," Will stated, adjusting his sheets.
Bill didn't want to fall asleep again. He knew that those two demons were waiting for him on the other side. It was hard for the blonde to break out of his own dreams now. They kept him contained. "I know..."
"A-are you ok?" Will questioned his brother.
"Stop asking me that," Bill spat, holding back yet another yawn, "I am 'ok'."
Will turned around in his bed, facing away from the blonde.
Will had the right to worry for his brother, but Bill didn't want him to worry. Will was already so stressed out and paranoid, the last thing he needed was his brother having a demon problem. Bill was going to have to deal with this on his own.
