Will decided to stay in bed the rest of the day and Bill was somewhat pissed off about that. The blonde didn't want to leave his brother's side because he was worried, but being confined in a room for so long can get boring and can definitely make one sleepy. Bill made a vow that he wouldn't fall asleep until it was time for bed, like a normal human. No naps.

"Y-you don't have t-to stay with me," Will whispered and glanced up at the other twin.

Bill sighed and kneeled down beside Will's bedside. "Well, I am staying. Gotta make sure Mikey doesn't come back."

Will seemed amused for only a moment before the frown crept onto his face. "Mhm..." He looked up at Bill for a bit and sighed heavily. "Are you g-going to tell W-Wendy?"

Bill glanced away. "No. She doesn't have to know."

"But maybe you could scare Wendy away from Will that way?"

Bill whipped around, terrified when he heard Mabel's voice, but there was no one there.

"Wh-what is it?" Will said shocked at Bill's sudden movement.

Bill studied the room for a second longer before he turned back around slowly. "Nothing... Thought I heard something..."

"Don't pretend like I'm not here..."

The blonde knew it was all in his head. He just had to ignore the demon for a while.

Will seemed concerned for his brother as well, but he didn't push the other. "S-so, did you f-find anything in-interesting in that-that creepy book?"

Bill flinched away, almost forgetting that Will had seen the book before the blonde had hid it. "Oh, um, some things."

Will pursed his lips. "L-like what?"

Bill averted his eyes. "Just cool mystery stuff."

"C-can I come along o-on your next ad-adventure?" he asked so innocently.

Bill sighed softly. "No, I don't think so."

Will looked crestfallen. "Oh..."

Bill shrugged. "Sorry," he murmured.

"Aw, you've deeply disappointed the poor boy," Mabel hummed into his mind.

Go away, Bill thought, annoyed.

"I'm just saying. Bring him along next time to make him happier."

Bill scoffed. And put him in danger? No way.

"You humans and your love. It's so useful and manipulative, yet so annoying at the same time."

It's just because you don't understand it, Bill spat.

Mabel laughed. "Ho-hum, that's so sad isn't it? Like we really care to know about human emotions. Mere distractions if you ask me."

Bill growled. Well, I'm not asking you.

"B-Bill? Hello? Wh-who are you talking t-to?"

Bill blinked, coming out of his thoughts to see Will staring at him, concerned. "Talking to who? What?"

"Y-you were muttering to y-yourself," Will explained.

"I'm just trying to figure something out," Bill lied. "Forget about it."

Will seemed to be tired of the constant lying. "Sure..."

Bill clenched his jaw. Just leave me alone, Mabel. You're only allowed to pester me in my dreams, alright?
