Chapter 12.
-Marcel's POV-
I feel horrible, it's so scary waking up in an unknown place.
Yesterday wasn't too bad though, my therapist, Dr. Brown, is a nice lady. She's about 40, her blonde hair was midlength and her eyes are as blue as the ocean. She's been very helpful so far, she asks me a bunch of random questions. It helps get my mind off things...
"So, Marcel, how are you liking it here so far?" She asks me politely.
"It's d-definitely new and different." I sigh.
"Have you met anyone yet?"
I sigh again, "I'm not good with being s-social..."
"I'm here to help you with that...and other things going on with you."

After my therapy session, I head the cafeteria for lunch. I decided on a pizza and salad. Nothing too interesting.
I look around and see a few chairs empty, but only one caught my eye. It was in the corner of the room, a girl was sat there. Alone. She was writing in a journal, barely even touched her plate. She must have been writing something down important because she didn't even notice me.
She looked up from her notebook, glancing at me. Her features stiffened. She seemed like she'd seen a ghost, like she was scared.
"May I j-join you?" I try my best not to stutter.
She looked down, pushing a few strains of hair behind her ear, then back at me.
"S-sure." She said quietly.
"I'm...Marcel..." I manage to say.
She slightly smiles. "I'm Diana."
We didn't really talk much, I didn't know what to say. I was stuck, by her beauty.
The way she looks so in thought when she writes. The way her hazel eyes look when she smiles. Or when she brushes her light brown hair behind her ear. She was beautiful.
I swear I'm in love.
"Why haven't you e-eaten?" I blurted out. Crap.
She sighs, "I...I don't like to eat..."
I let out an "oh okay" and just forget about it.
We finish- well, I finish my lunch and walk to group sessions. Diana and I decided to walk together. I found out she writes poems and stories. She wanted to be an English teacher when she little, but things didn't turn out to good for her. Obviously. She's in an institute to get 'better.'
We walk into an auditorium. There are people in chairs sitting in a large circle. Diana and I sit next to each other. I'm actually a bit shocked, her whole demeanor has changed. Just a few seconds ago she was quiet and timid. Now, she's cheery and saying hello to everyone. Everyone.
"Hello everyone as you may know I am Dr. Brown." Dr. Brown smiles at us. "Today, since we have a new member of our lovely family, we are going to be telling our stories."
Stories? Oh no, I'm not telling these people that I've never met my life story!
Diana smiles at me and says "I think Marcel should start since he's new."
Just one look, just one smile, made me change my mind about this.
All thanks to Diana.
