Dancing for my dream

Hey wattpad readers so this is chapter 1 :) I really loved it actually, I don't know why I just did. Nikki's POV-

I had to admit this was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life. This could either make me or break me. But I had to know that I tried, and even if I don't get in the most popular arts school in the states, I'm not going to give up on my dream to become a famous dancer. I can just see myself dancing behind some of the most famous singers in the world. Including my two best friends Demi and Damien. Demi has the best voice a country singer could have, and Damien has the best voice a soul singer could have. I know they're going to get in. It would be the dumbest thing if they didn't. But for me it's different. I have to prove that my dancing isn't just something I do, but that it comes from my heart. One day I hope to become a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance and make a piece that would get a standing ovation, but before that happens I want to be a dancer that everyone looks up to, a dancer that is known all over the world. I can already hear the crowd just yelling my name "Nikki. Nikki. Nikki."

"Nikki, Nikki, Nikki," Demi repeated as she was shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah??" I asked totally not knowing what was going on.

"It's your turn, they called you up."  She told me.

"Oh, Okay, wish me luck." I said, as I was getting up.

"Good luck." She whispered

I ran up on stage ready to dance for my life.

"Hello Nikki, why don't you tell us a little about yourself." the main judge said.

"Well I was born in California, I'm a freshman in school, hopefully this school, I'm 15, I love to dance, and my two best friends Damien Yongg and Demi Trejos are also here to audition for this school." I told him.

"Excellent, and what will you be dancing today?" He asked.

"I will be dancing a jazz piece that I choreographed." I answered.

"And is jazz the only category you dance?"

"No sir, I also do contemporary, hip-hop, and on a good day ballroom." I told him.

"Well, that amazing. Why don't you start." He said while having a little laugh with the other judges about my "on a good day" phrase.

I got in to position and waited until he said cue music.

Once I finished the dance, I was relieved. i finally performed it, now all that has to happen is for them to tell me if I made it or not. Which either answer was going to bring me to tears. I walked to front center stage and waited for their response.

"Nikki.. WOW!" The main judge said. "That was probably my favourite audition of the day.

"Really?" I asked already tearing up.

"Yes, now I'm going to put this to a vote. Lynn?"

"Yes." She answered quickly.

"William?" He asked the judge.

"Absolutely!" He said.

"And if you didn't catch my answer before I'll tell you again. YES!" He told me. "Welcome to Hollywood Arts High school!"

I was completely out of words, I was crying my eyes out and yelled out a big thank you as I jumped off of the stage. I ran to  Demi and gave her the biggest hug.

"Congratulations!" She told me.

"Thanks, I wish I could stay here and watch you preform." I told her. I really did wish I could stay, but the people who made it had to go out to cafeteria. That's were Damien is right now. After his performan's they were just speechless and told him he was in right away. Now it was Demi's turn to prove herself, and I believe that she was going to blow the roof off this place. "But don't worry because you are going to blow the roof off of this place! You don't need anyone there with you because you my friend are unstoppable." I gave her another big hug, and left to go meet Damien.

I walked in the cafeteria and found Damien sitting with his guitar. I ran up to him and said "I MADE IT!"

He looked up and smiled at me, " I knew you would!"
