Chapter 6: The Journey Begins Once More

Back in Croft Manor, in Lara's bedroom.

Lara: "Ow! Damn it!"

Zip: "I know, girl. I know. I just can't believe the fight was a test and you were still alive."

Lara: "Be surprised she didn't kill me on the spot. How bad is it?"

Zip: "Really bad, LC. Your back is filled with shards of glass. Huge pieces."

Lara: "Oh, god. Damn it hurts." Zip carefully takes out the shards out of her skin.

Zip: "I feel your pain. If I were in your shoes, I would've just stopped fighting."

Lara: "You sure about that?"

Zip: "Yeah. I wouldn't finish the fight."

Lara: "So what you're saying is you wanted to give up?"

Zip: "More like walk away from a fight. It's the best choice."

Lara: "I guess it is."

Zip: "Almost there." He took out most of the shards. He took out 2 more.

Lara: "Are you done yet?"

Zip: "This is the last one. This might hurt." He pulled the last shard with some force. Lara was gritting her teeth until Zip finally got it out.

Zip: "There we go. I got it out."

Lara: "Thank you, Zip. You're a good friend."

Zip: "Well, I'm not done yet. I have to put hydrogen peroxide on your back to clean the wounds and then bandage it."

Lara: "Alright. I hope I'll be healed."

Zip: "You will. This is going to sting like hell. Brace yourself."

Lara: "I'm ready." Zip poured it on her back and Lara screams and yells in pain because it stings very bad. After a few minutes, there was relief in Lara.

Zip: "Now I have to bandage you up." Zip wrapped up Lara's back.

Lara: "Thanks, Zip." She hugs him and Zip has his hands on her shoulders and not her back.

Zip: "You're welcome, LC. Your back should heal in a few days."

Lara: "I hope so. We better go see Bryce."

Zip: "Yeah. I bet he was worried about you."

Bryce: "Lara, you're okay! I was so worried about you."

Zip: (To Lara) "You see? Told you."

Lara: "Bryce, I'm fine. It's just my back."

Bryce: "Will it heal?"

Lara: "It will heal in a few days."

Bryce: "Good. Jolly good. So, about this artifact?"

Lara: "We have to find Ares shield first of all. Just to see what the hell we do with it."

Bryce: "Then after that?"

Lara: "We find out why the fleece made me see the past. It's like showing me something but what?"

Bryce: "While you are thinking about it, I'm going to get some books and coffee."

Winston: "I will do the coffee, Bryce."

Bryce: "Thank you. See, I'm happy we have a butler around." Lara smiled and chuckled a little. Lara looks back at the artifact and it glowed again.

Lara: "Not again. What are you showing me? The past again? I need to know." Suddenly, Lara is seeing in her head a location that has the shield in a forbidden tomb and the scene faded away. Lara snaps out of it.
