Chapter 10: Italian Drama

(When it reached midnight, Lara was still asleep in bed and Elena was up prepared and ready. Elena saw Lara sleeping and she picked up a pillow right next to Lara. Elena smacked her face with the pillow and Lara woke up in alarm.)

Lara: "Hey, what the hell!" (She rubs her numb cheek.)

Elena: "Sorry. But it's midnight. We have to go to Venice to find the forbidden tomb."

Lara: "That's right. Just let me ready first."

Elena: "Fine, but hurry the hell up." (She had her arms crossed and Lara had a angry look on her face. Lara took a quick shower really fast and puts on a blue hensley shirt and tan brown pants and her high knee dark brown boots. She finally puts on her jade necklace.)

Elena: "This is taking forever, Lara."

Lara: "I know! I know. Just hold on a sec. (She puts on her earpiece just in case if anyone calls.)

Elena: "What's with you and that dumb necklace? Seems like a piece of junk just to snag on when we're being chased."

Lara: "It's not a piece of junk!"

Elena: "Seems like it. It's wearing out!"

Lara: "I can't just throw it out! What is wrong with you?!" (Elena stayed quiet.)

Lara: "Whatever we need to go to Venice." (She packed her stuff and left in anger. Elena followed behind her and started speed walking to the car. She got in and started the engine while Elena got in the passenger side. Nathan started the engine as well and Sully got in the passenger side also.)

Sully: "Did you get everything, Nathan?"

Nathan: "Yep. I did. You?"

Sully: "Yeah, all set, kid." (Nathan drove out of the parking lot and unto the streets. Lara was driving also until her earpiece started buzzing and she pressed the button.)

Lara: "Nathan?"

*Nathan: "Lara, we just got out of the parking lot and we're heading to Venice right now."

Lara: "Okay, so am I."

*Nathan: "I missed hearing you."

Lara: "I know. Me too." (Elena rolled her eyes like "oh please.")

*Nathan: "Okay, just got to let you that we're on our way."

Lara: "Alright."

*Nathan: "See you there."

Lara: "Okay." (She pressed the button again to hang up. She kept driving.)

Elena: "When are you going to leave Nathan alone?"

Lara: "How about never? Is that the answer you're looking for?"

Elena: "You're a real pain in my life, you know that?"

Lara: "I just thought we were friends for the time being. But now you're acting like a complete bully. Get your attitude straightened out."

Elena: "As long as you stay away from Nathan."

Lara: "Why? He means nothing to you."

Elena: "He is the one for me!"

Lara: "Not exactly. Did you and Nathan go on an adventure last time? No. It was Nathan and I."

Elena: "What are you trying to say?"

Lara: "I'm saying Nathan and I had moments together and where were you?! Huh?"

Elena: "I was waiting for Nathan to come home and he never did."

Lara: "Because he went on vacation."
