Cas' POV
Having Dean Winchester in my home was one thing, but having him sleep in my bed with me was another. His brother, Sam, stayed in the guest room, and Dean stayed with me. After they had come home with me, i decided to take them shopping, as it was only noon.
We got into to the car, and i drove to the store a few blocks away.
Sam seemed impatient as we drove, but Dean was smiling his toothy grin.
I looked at Dean and smiled myself. "What are you so happy about?"
He looked over and grabbed my hand and held it over the center console. "Nothing. You're just..being so nice and I'm just..thinking." He rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand.
I could hear Sam uncomfortably shift in the back seat. "Ugh. Relationships are so..gross."
I laughed and looked in the rear view mirror. "You'll learn."
We got to the store, and I gave Sam and Dean each 100 dollars to spend on clothes.
Dean smirked mischievously while he grabbed the money. "Let's make this interesting."
I looked over at Dean questioningly. "And how would we do that?"
Dean looked at both of us, ready for a challenge. "Me and Sam get 20 minutes to shop. You wait here, and when we're done, we will show the outfits to you and you judge them. We tally up the points and whoever gets the most points, gets another outfit of their choosing."
Sam nodded and looked at me with pleading eyes.
I smiled and nodded. "Sounds fun."
Dean smiled, and stood next to Sam, getting ready to run for the clothing racks.
"On the count of 3... 1...2...3!" I watched as Sam and Dean ran off to their own sections of the store. I watched them both as they picked up flannels of all colors. I shook my head, but chuckled slightly at the thought of all flannels belonging to them.
I waited for 20 minutes, waiting impatiently as all flannels were taken.
They finally finished, and I stood by the fitting rooms. They got into their decided rooms, and changed from outfit to outfit, not surprisingly consisting of mostly flannel.
Dean always dressed in greans and blues, and Sam dressed in Reds and Browns. It was hard to choose from, and they ended up tieing. They each got 50 dollars extra to spend on more outfits.
We left the store with bags in hand, my wallet empty, but I didn't mind. Their clothes were destroyed In the fire, along with everything they've ever owned.
We went inside the house, and they went into their separate rooms, putting away the outfits they just got. I followed Dean into our room, and helped him put his clothes away.
"Thank you so much for this, Cas. I really do appreciate it. Sam is going through some hard stuff. He's only young, and that was the only house he's ever known and...I just wish things went differently." Dean turned to look at me after he hung a shirt in the closet.
"Don't worry about it, Dean. I'm happy to help." I walked over to him and hugged him tight, wrapping my arms around his waist. I felt his arms wrap around my neck and i felt safe again.
Deans POV
I held Cas and I breathed in the fresh scent of his hair. I felt safe with him. He took care of us, and cared about Sam when I was unconcious, so I know that Sam wouldn't get hurt again. Knowing that, I was the happiest I've ever been.
I heard the pitter patter of rain on the roof, and I smiled.
"Its raining, Cas." I talked into his hair.
"And?" He laughed lightly.
I pulled away from the hug, and grabbed his hand, opening the door with the other, and pulling him out of the room.
"Lets go have fun!" I laughed and ran out the front door, running down the front steps, and getting drenched the second the awning stopped.
Cas tensed up at the cold. I walked over to him and held out one hand, bending down slightly.
"May I have this dance?" I looked into his icey blue eyes, and smiled.
He smiled at me and took my hand in his own. "Of course you may." I pulled him close and grabbed his waist with one hand and grabbed his hand with the other. I intertwined our fingers, and took one step forward as he stepped back. I stared into his eyes as we slow danced to the sound of rain on pavement.
I hummed a slow song and pulled him close. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he wrapped his arms around my neck. I rested my head on his shoulder and kissed the base of his neck, near his prominent collarbone.
I could feel his smile against my ear. I pulled back and looked him in the eyes. A raindrop fell from his eyelash and landed on his lips. I looked down at his soft lips and felt the urge to put ours together.
"Cas?"
"Yeah, Dean?"
"I-I think I'm in love with you."
I saw Cas smile. Then I felt him move closer, and push out lips together, just how I wanted. I was surprised, to say the least, but I got used to it, and kissed back. The rain mixed with the kiss, and made it the best reality I've ever come to realize.
Cas's POV
I tilted my head to the side to deepen the kiss. I had waited for this the moment I met Dean, and it was actually happening. The kiss was better than anything I've ever imagined, more amazing than I ever thought, and it was with someone that just said they're in love with me.
I reluctantly broke the kiss and leaned my forehead against his, breathing heavily. I mumbled against his lips, "I think I'm in love with you too."
I saw Dean smile, and he kissed me once more. I smiled into the kiss, and grabbed his cheek, moving my thumb against the side of his hair.
I pulled his hands from my waist and broke away from the kiss once more, pulling Dean with me as we jumped, danced and laughed around the yard in the rain. Dean and Sam had just come home from the hospital, but everything seemed okay to me, and I'll be damned if someone tries to ruin that. Nothing can take me away from my new found family, so screw whoever tried.
----------------
The song that Dean hums when they are slow dancing is When You Sleep by Mary Lambert. Its a perfect slow song and you should definitely listen to it.
Also, I'm so sorry for not updating. I haven't had to inspiration to, and writers block is continuing. Hope you like this chapter, even though it's actual trash.
